It most absolutely does cuz 😎 I teach middle school history. I intro'd this concept with something like "Who thinks Zendaya is cute? Wow. She is your COUSIN. That is DISGUSTING." They got a kick out of it.

Reply to The direction of temperature is arbitrary. There is no reason for hot objects to be assigned a larger number than cold ones by Crux_AMVS24
Temperature is a measure of the kinetic energy of particles at the molecular level. More specifically, an object at absolute zero has zero kinetic energy, that is, all the molecules in such an object are at a complete standstill.
Picture a jar of Airsoft pellets. None of the pellets are moving inside the jar. This is what we would call cold temperature. Now shake it up really hard: all the pellets are in motion. This is what we would call high temperature. But relatively speaking, all the pellets are roughly in the same spot: they're still in the same jar.

It's probably for the best. If my kid added a "fuck you" while staring at me doing exactly what I told him not to I'd loose it.

My mother would swear around us in her native language of Greek. Nothing terrible ("skata", etc), but curse words nonetheless.

Well, all evidence and livable experience points strongly towards that being the case.
>A religious person will say a train station exists in a spot even though it doesn't?
Yes. An allegory for every dogma. Every statement of faith works like that.

> it's you that specifically asked for it to be spelled out.
All I asked was that you clarify a very puzzling statement you previously made.
> It is not me being condescending to a religious person.
Of course not, I'm not religious.
>Any religion's claim to the origins of life or the world is just like me claiming to know how to get to the next train station from your home. A fabrication.
This particular claim of yours only hold's any merit if you're certain that all religions are completely false. Given the lack of evidence to make such an irrefutable claim, this is again yet another very puzzling statement that you're making.
> And now it gets really funny: a religious person will, in the very likely case that my directions are wrong, still claim they are true, despite overwhelming evidence of the contrary.
A religious person will say a train station exists in a spot even though it doesn't? Wtf...you shoot out these bizarre statements rapid fire huh?

Your parents, not ancestors. It isn't a natural instinct, it is a learned behaviour. At some point, the first get burned from something, he signaled/told the others not to do the same, and that behavior get educated to the next generation. When it would be an instinct, no toddler would touch it. But when you don't be cautious, these little fuckers would burn themselves at multiple opportunities. So no instinct

Applying your implied logic that these ancestors of ours weren’t human, as we know it, we didn’t ‘outlive the dinosaurs’. Their ancestors are still here too.
