I believe you don’t necessarily get DNA from every one of your ancestors, so if you’d had a different ancestor you could still be genetically identical, but I’m no expert

That's one of the great paradox of language. It is supposed to convey direct information but in many cases what we say about ourselves means the opposite. For example, to say your are a liar makes you, in a way, honest. To say you are weak demands strengh. To say you don't know shit actually means you have a strong knowledge about the vastness of, well, knowledge in general. Language is weird af.

I wasn't claiming the etymology of the word lol. Just why human/humen wouldn't work practically. That being said, human didn't start with the french word "humain". It started with the latin "homo" and then the latin "humanis"....That french word "humain" showed up around 300 years later.
