Sometimes maybe, but characters get fired all the time and still stay in the show.
This would be more accurate if you said character dying in a tv show is a person getting fired in real life. Although even that isn't always the case.

That goes for most people these days. For most of us they are names on a tree. If your parents didn't talk about them.... then all that was known about who they really were is lost forever...

This was a survival instinct for me as a kid, because my mom was one of those people who liked to rearrange furniture every 4-6 weeks. You never knew where the couch was going to be.

It's weird that people in this sub will actively wonder/be perplexed about this stuff rather than use the available devices to look it up, and check those sources.

Sully might've saved that information for himself so he can tickle the kids as a secret technique only he knows

Sometimes I forget things that people say to me immediately after they say it cause I was busy with something else then

Most of the rules were rooted in the belief children are lethal to monsters, so when that was disproven most rules were probably undone

That's literally what's happening in the movie.
What's the point of this post?

Reply to There is no feeling more bittersweet for an athlete than to be cut by a team that immediately goes on to win a championship by Looney_forner
This feels like the autobiography of Harry Maguire. for those who don't know he is a football player in the English's team Manchester united. He plays as a central defender and was a captain of the team for a long time. he was very good on his first season but after that he started making mistakes which angered the fan base they started booing him which started a negative cycle of bad performances which was not helped by the fact that the team was changing managers every few seasons. until they get their latest manager Erik Ten Hag who greatly increased the team performance but benched him for most matches and the team improved. and they won their first trophy in 6 years later where he was substituted in at the last minute after they have effectively secured the victory

I read once that it's a deliberate action by your brain. Basically when you leave one room and go into another you have changed your environment so your brain compartmentalises the knowledge and skills needed from the previous environment in order to assess the new.
It makes more sense if you think of earlier man being in a forest and walking out of the trees into an open meadow. Suddenly a completely different set of life skills are needed for survival and safety. Well your brain thinks walking from the kitchen to your bathroom needs an awesome kick-ass Liam Neeson style set of skills and puts everything else away to assess the danger.
It's actually really cool and knowing this makes me smile instead of get annoyed when it happens lol. Thanks brain!
