Reply to comment by ScarTheGoth in Humen is a more logical plural to human than humans. It’s men and women, not mans and womans. by frenglish_man
I think pronunciation is a big part of this. We can look at etymology, but language is a living thing. If “human” were pronounced like “man” we’d probably have “humen”, but it’s not, so humans makes more sense

There was a comment or two in my notifications that I wanted to respond to but when I try to view or reply it's empty. Just wanted you to know that I'm not deliberately ignoring you! Don't know why I can't see all.

There’s at least the Christmas Island crab that’s red while alive

Or any of the many crabs that have a naturally red shell

That would put Mr. Krabs at 4 years old during the first Bikini Atoll nuclear test. Maybe that’s what turned his shell red, along with making all the animals sentient and anthropomorphic?

Reply to Popcorn is an explosive by [deleted]
Popcorn is a bleve of the outer layer of the kernel. This is the same if you heat up a pressurized container of any kind until it fails.
There is no oxidation reduction reaction going on though, so no explosion.

You're wrong OP, current science outs it around 300-400 generations, nowhere close to 10k nevermind tens of thousands.

Why would anyone need a body shield for the truck in front of them?
I leave space and have brakes. Im worried about the people behind me, not in front of me. All the people in front of me can do is make me late

Makes sense since his Krab Shack is the shape of a lobster trap.
Maybe it’s like the end of LOST and they’re all just dead sea creatures.

Reply to comment by PIisLOVE314 in It's so strange how people put covers and cases on their phones to protect them and their overall value but we don't do the same with our cars, which are worth way more. by PIisLOVE314
Probably because a $800 phone can be sufficiently protected with a $25 case, but even if you have a car worth $20k or $10k the cheapest you’d find a shop to apply that coating including the cost of material is $4k minimum.
If phone cases on average costed $200 i bet we’d see less phones with cases on them.
