Hate these “shower thoughts” where there is no evidence. So it’s not a shower thought then, bad job Op

Yes. This conversation is silly, you know it, and are getting exactly the result you want...

Reply to Soon AI-made artworks will imitate celebrities so aggressively that younger generations will question whether they really existed. by Generalitary
I've heard this a lot in the context of news, but I don't know if I believe it.
You could say the same thing about words. Anybody can say anything online, but that doesn't mean you necessarily believe them. You cross-check their words with trusted sources and weigh what they say against what you believe to be rational and reasonable. I think people will just learn to do the same thing with photos and videos.
Plus there will likely be enough law suits around this to establish some kind of norm.

Reply to In theory, the entire contents of your backpack and pockets are likely redundant if you have a phone. by MohammadRezaPahlavi
How does the ability to call someone negate the need for tools food clothing? or the ability to keep said phone working?
If the things you put in your backpack are redundant to that level you are doing it wrong.

My phone gives me snacks?
I mean, it can order me food, but then I'm waiting an hour before I eat. But my backpack snacks are immediate. Same as my water bottle.
My phone doesn't let me drive my car, though. The keys in my pocket do.

I understand the insanity definition. But the definition is “doing the same thing over and over” practice is doing something and getting new results and moving onto something harder

Every time you pay with credit card, some poor banking intern has to run from the bank to the store with a wheelbarrow full of cash from your account

I don't see any way of being able to even say that with any kind of confidence, I feel like OP is vastly over estimating the number of people just casually walking round with a buttplug up 'em...

Reply to comment by PillowHand187 in Infinite Monkey Theorem. If the universe is infinite. Eventually, every fiber, gas, and atom that makes you, you. Will recombin. by PillowHand187
Yea, it's a nice one to think about right? Because if things really are shuffling randomly, then way before the universe randomly resets, you can expect lots of weird things like: by pure chance a perfect copy of your brain at this exact moment comes into existence, complete with all your memories until this point, just brought together by chance in the otherwise chaotic vacuum of space.
Isaac Arthur has good discussion of this kind of sci-fi and futurism. I recommend his channel in general but here is an older video of his dealing with these kind of infinite improbability issues haha. Check it out if you're interested
