I honestly don't think dogs have the mental capacity to wonder such a question. Even wondering in general takes a bit of mental skill. Working out thoughts, thinking of answers.

I took my dog into a walk in freezer a long time ago (gas store had a walk in beer selection) my dog took no more of it at all. I think their thought process would be something along the lines of, "OMG, I smell food! Weird, it got a bit cold... I smell food over there!!"

Years ago my aunt said something about a neighbour who got killed by a car: "He walked into traffic. He was probably [high]". ( I think she said "wired to the moon" though sometimes that would have just meant "was wearing headphones")

Both excuse what happened, and are a common way to blame the victim. I don't believe she did it consciously, I think she may have repeated what other parents said to her.

I usually pity patients with self-destructive behaviors more.

It's awful to see a person deteriorate and die due to a preventable and/or treatable disease despite all the healthcare professionals efforts.

It's a shame that a person with healthy habits gets sick or die. But I've seen many of them fight bravely against the odds, do their best and when they die, I don't pity them, I admire them.

Okay let's take a step back. The manual labor done on a house is done by manual labor workers - correct. Who is paying those manual labor workers, if the founders of said house renovation company were also manual labor workers instead of founders?

Building a company means investing your own money or going into big debt to start that company at thr risk of that company failing- I call that taking a risk. Founders are willing to take the risk to earn a return on it - which they should.

Still, most of the movies with tight budgets will fail (and you'll probably never even see them). Exactly like one can come from a poor neighborhood and become famous while the rest of the neighborhood stays in poverty.

There's a good Veritasium video about success and how polarizing it is, basically if one person out of 100 (doing the same things) succeed, doesn't mean that what he/she did was the formula of success. Maybe he/she was lucky, but we will still say that doing those steps provide a chance to succeed even though it was merely by chance.

Statistically speaking, people coming from wealthy families will achieve success simply 'cause even if you do nothing more than safe investments you'll still get more profits... You also get access to better schools and in return you'll get access to better jobs and so on so forth
