I think something along the lines of “fuck fentanyl” should be good

>STAMFORD — The Board of Finance has approved allocating a $25,000 grant
toward a project to paint a mural on the new Stamford Transportation
Center parking garage, but the approval came with a proviso: “The mural
should be non-controversial and non-divisive.”

>Stamford Grants Officer Anita Carpenter told theboard at a meeting last week that the city received the money from theNational Endowment for the Arts for the installation of a mural on thestate-owned parking garage, which is currently under construction on South State Street. The garage is expected to open this summer.
Worth noting the criteria allows for murals that are stupid, over-the-top, and idiotic. Let's hear the community's best ideas. I think a unifying idea would be a fire-red background with black text saying: "GO BACK TO NEW YORK." You know, something representative of the town's style.

I’m sure Tigin has something going on. They usually have a tent and bands

Greenwich has their parade on Sunday, if that’s your thing. I don’t know if anything is happening on Saturday, though.

The parade was back on 3/4 so that was probably the main day for festivities but I’m sure bars will be running some themed things through the weekend

Try heystamford on social media, they should have some things listed. Going to be a lot of drunks out, so be careful!

I thought St. Patrick’s Day was on Friday the 17th?

Yeah plus they make you build your own plates so it feels like you're being nickle and dimed. Don't tell me I'm paying $30 for french fries, lol

Here to defend you. Prime is a premier chain that makes you feel good about getting decent food for a not-so-decent price.

This is the best answer. Also consider going to south norwalk, they have a fun night out scene

In the sense that it overcharged me for food.
Why are people so defensive about it? It's just not a great restaurant and not worth what they charge.

North Stamford to the Inn at Pound Ridge is a very easy backroads drive of about 25minutes each way, and the food is delicious there. They have valet parking most of the time, a good drinks menu, and the brunch has a crispy rice squares w salmon item that is interesting and tasty. It is a bit more upscale than most of what we have in Stamford (it is a Jean George).
Without leaving North Stamford, you might consider (newer in the last 2 years) The Farmhouse at The Crossroads. https://www.farmhouseatthecrossroads.com/
I have been three times now and found the food to be delicious. Their seafood supplier is really hooking them up (the shrimp cocktail was magnificent). They have a great drinks menu, and the interior has a nice fireplace ambiance on brisker nights. They have a big outdoor area that they are ready to trot out for outdoor brunch w drinks once it is a tad warmer. It is more like a 5min drive from anywhere in North Stamford, so a quick/easy one. But menu is large and upscale decor, and it feels splurgy when you are there.

They reopened last year with a different team. They still seem to be getting good reviews and the executive chef seems to have an excellent fine dining resume, but I haven't been, so I can't honestly comment. It just seemed the right vibe for a couple having a nice dinner out.

The decision to build a parking garage inches from I-95 and blocking a large chunk of the skyline as you turn NB on the highway is so disappointing, just a massive concrete wall... I really hope whatever the finished version looks like is a little bit redeeming.
My 2 cents for a mural would be something 'gateway' themed for entering the NE states.
