Basically it says it is inevitable, because to prevent it we must start taking huge action on climate change

[Please don't] Colapse already or the clima sceptics will forever call us liars and deny that our efforts against global warming had anything to do with it [if it doesn't colapse].

I'd argue that most people who knowingly call the suicide hotline are looking to be talked out of it.

I'll never forget seeing a small group of people marching in protest of this to raise awareness, then driving past the PD who had (in their fear of 40ish people with paper signs) put up brand-new temporary fencing around the new $500k station with big 'ol "NO TRESPASSING" signs on each panel to deter the protest from ending up in their parking lot 🤣 talk about pathetic.

>Other suggestions have included constructing Eiffel Tower-sized columns on the seabed to prop it up from below, and a 100m-tall, 100-kilometre-long berm to block warm water flowing underneath.
Not really look at these great ideas, in addition how about the snow cannon one. I’m sure we can get started on constructing the Eiffel tower column’s right away. It’s "super easy, barely an inconvenience".

I could have sworn area codes were mandatory to dial since the mid-90s. Fascinating that it wasn't a national change.

Yes. A 42% increase in people wanting to kill themselves. So uplifting.

So it's inevitable.

There's a probability for winning a substantial ammount in "gambling" and having a certain kind of name.
It's funny when it happens and we hear from it but otherwise totally predictable that it will happen.
I'd be suprised if no person ever with a funny or fitting name won any notable ammount of money or got successfull. This would mean that the universe is biased and ultimately confirm gods existence, and that he's kind of a jerk.

If I had to choose, it would still be both. Both are needed in order to understand the significance of each. Without both I just assume someone it using a half-truth to over- or under-state something intentionally.

Luckily we don't need to choose. Too many places try to manipulate you with stuff like super low chances of winning doubling, meaning basically nothing.

I am just fine, thanks.
If you reread that paragraph that a couple of people are describing as crazed and unhinged for some reason instead as sarcastically and argumentative that this particular woman from this story is, by nature of what she's dealing with disability-wise, one of the most vulnerable people in our society after that deaf person tried to argue being deaf was just on a spectrum it might seem less unhinged. It was also written to have a few references and jokes thrown in like the DiMarco guy being a famous deaf model and advocate and honking of horns seemingly falling on deaf ears wandering around QUEENS, NYC. A lot of people that can hear perfectly fine but are distracted get hit by cars. Am I supposed to believe that she's exceptional and the sense of hearing doesn't matter for that?
