Loved it. Thought he was great at building suspense even though we all know what happened!

You would be partially correct, in that it was signed into law in 2020, but your date is incorrect. The law was signed in October 2020 but did not go into effect until July 2022 and has still not been effectively implemented in many places.

Given that emissions are set to peak in the next few years and are in fact decreasing in most developed areas (at admittedly very differing rates), not necessarily.

Fair point, I suppose. He does always have a talent for saying nonsense with a straight face though, so I'd say it's a bit of both in my case.

And as a person with autism I could argue that you were tricked by your brother utilizing his trusted status. The words themselves weren't enough to trick you, but coming from your brother they were. Unless you would have believed the same outlandish nonsense regardless of source the issue wasn't with the words.
But we're fussing over semantics here. I don't care for the phrase "easily tricked by words" and don't identify with that experience. But I don't care if you think you do. Carry on!

Its like in a point and click game where to get the sword you need to trade for a ruby which you need to trade for a necklace which you trade for a locket which you trade for a notebook which you trade for a hammer which you trade for a broom which you trade for a cool looking rock you found except it starts with an organ and ends with an organ.

The rule was adopted on July 16, 2020 a date on which, last I looked, he was Chairman of the FCC.
If you don't want to bother to read the administrative history of this, that's fine. But "internet dilettante" isn't a great career choice.

As someone with autism, it is pretty apt. I used to get tricked by my brother all of the time simply because he sounded honest to me when he would say some outlandish nonsense. He always told me the truth when he saw that I actually believed it though, so it was just funny.

This is really common. And it's been great for people receiving transplants.
The premise is that if you need a kidney, a family member would generally be more than willing to donate to you. But they might not be a match.
So instead the family members details go into a database, and a chain or loop is established -- their kidney goes to family A, whose kidney goes to family B, whose kidney goes to C, ..., and you receive family X's kidney.
All of these people are donating to strangers, and thus getting a kidney for their own loved one. Basically they donated a kidney for their loved one instead of to their loved one. But their loved one gets a kidney, and gets a huge improvement to their lives.
It's a fantastic system.

That's true but with current trends of sea level rise, very highly unlikely that Florida will sink completely or even partially unless some cataclysmic event happens that will melt all the ice which seems very improbable by scientists.

I mean it’s definitely not never. It clearly was underwater at some point in the past. In fact for most of earth’s history Florida was under water.

No.
Look at the ridiculously good progress in renewable energy over the past decade. It's only accelerating.
We will hit peak fossil-fuel use globally during this decade, because renewables are becoming cheaper than burning coal/oil/gas.

Is there there a whole group for this kind of thing? You join the group and when your special person that you would love to give a kidney for is able to get one, you then donate to someone else in the group.

I don't think you're using your re-usable shopping bags correctly.
I have a grocery store bag made from recycled plastic bottles that I've been using for over 10 years and it's still going strong.
