I refuse to say I'm from Seattle. I have friends who say this so they don't have to explain where they're from. It irks me. Also, Seattle isn't the only city in Washington, which is why it annoys me when I say I'm from Washington and people immediately respond with Seattle.

Major pet peeve. Person: where you from? Me: Washington Person? State or DC? Me: state

I hate clarifying that it's Washington state. I now start conversations with, I'm from the west coast, Washington.

You could work in a ferry ride by driving State Route 16 north to Bremerton and taking the boat to downtown Seattle.

That’s a good point, and you certainly can’t trust the developers to consider what the infrastructure can handle. They just want to sell houses. IMO, the strain on infrastructure is an easier problem to deal with in the long run. Upzoning discussions are so fraught, whereas if sewage is overflowing I feel like it’s pretty easy to get people on board with upgrading the sewer system.

Don’t get me started on Vancouver.

Do you know how many non-WA people cannot say Puyallup, Yakima, Spokane, Tacoma. my favorite is Took-Weela (Tukwila). I would love to hear Tahoma pronounced after it 😂

If you're staying in the city then you can probably skip the car rental

If you're wanting to see some of the beautiful areas around here I'd recommend getting a car.

First and last time I was in town, I saw a band called Vomit Face play. It’s what has me coming back.

I think I saw this place on Dicks, Dicks-ins and Dickes. Excited to hear it holds traction beyond tv magic.
