It's in their system somehow. When I hit reset password, and enter the incorrect username, it sends me a reset link for it to my email and I go through the normal password reset process. Temporary password, go back to the page, enter that temp password and username on the login page, which then sends me to the page where I enter the temp, new password and confirm new password. Then tells me I've successfully updated my password

How would the website know you're using the wrong username? You didn't change the password for an account you don't have email access to.

I figured it out. I was using the wrong username, but it wasn't telling me that it was incorrect, for some reason. Even let me change the password for THAT incorrect username. Weird

With any annual renewal you want to wait until it is closer to expiration. With online subscriptions let it auto renew. If you have to manually renew it wait until the month of or day of. In driver's license wait until the month of.

When you renew things early; you loose time you could of gotten on your last subscription. Time and $ you'll never get back. Better to wait until about 3-6 weeks before it renews. Set an auto reminder on your calendar for one month before. If you renew online it will take 1-6 weeks to get to you. The dmv is closing down all but a few essential locations in my area. Due to online renewing being highly encuraged.
