Do you have a specific part of the state you’re going to be in? That’s going to impact your choices. And the state itself is super varied on seasonal employment. Like there’s limited berries in yakima county (too hot) but all over skagit/Whatcom.
“The Northwest” is really like two different places in this state

In eastern wa where all the hops and cherries are… it’s 90F and sometimes hotter. If anything you want the warehouse sorter job. Western wa doesn’t get as hot but in eastern wa there’s a reason they bus people in on work visas to do the picking.

Steilacoom is awesome if you like a slow town with character, there are plenty of things to do within a 15 min drive too

Of all the things to fret about, people climbing trees sounds very petty.

How often are you cleaning/hosing the grass and is there a smell?
We’ve considered it, however our neighbor on the other side of the fence has fake grass and often as soon as we step into our own yard there’s a VERY noticeable stench of urine coming from it.

Not every dog has a “nice warm fur coat” or will “wallow in cow shit and dead fish.” Very interesting way to participate in a discussion about cleaning

If your going up by St. Helens you could go zip lining or Bungee jumping out at Athol. You can book at bungee.com. Have you ever walked under a volcano you can do that at the ape caves. Check for permits to go.

I've been picking blueberries and potatoes as peicework for the past 15 years here in the northeast..are there reason you say I wouldn't want this type of job in the northwest?

Build a kennel and don’t let them indoors.
Period. They’re animals, not people. They have nice warm fur coats. They will wallow in cow shit and dead fish if given the opportunity. They will even eat human shit.

Considering the local population, that is entirely likely. I went out drinking in Forks one night years ago. Some guy asked me where I was from. So I told him. His response was “You one o’ those big city fa**ots?!?” I left as soon as I finished my drink.
