Depends on what part of the state. Here in the Columbia Basin you'll have spring asparagus harvest. Summer wheat harvest. Fall wine grapes, corn, and orchard fruit harvest.

It’s Promenade! At least, that’s how I remember it when I last heard it at age 10 so many moons ago 🤣

I still have yet to see anyone with the J.P. Patches Pal plate, and I’ve been to all four corners of the state. That one gets me every time.

Maybe they're illegal designer plates? Banking on cops not caring about the look so long as the plate numbers come back legit? See: https://universe.byu.edu/2020/02/26/illegal-license-plates-what-you-didnt-know/ and as an example: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1400056866/washington-license-plate-wrap-kit-custom?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=washington+license+plate&ref=sc_gallery-1-13&frs=1&col=1&plkey=269740e6fd8723c93c7ebf370f626d439810ec14%3A1400056866&variation0=3229108176

It’s not what you’re referring to, but this solid black one is hopefully going to be a thing soon: https://www.americascarmuseum.org/donate/throwbackplate/
There’s a link in there to support both the house and senate bills.

Washington Plates for sure. Black background and white lettering. No special association with colleges, sports, etc.
And I don’t think that they are antique plates. I’ll try to get a pic when I see one next

Wow! I immediately thought the lack of headlights was a composite shot. I shoot mostly nightscapes, so my mind immediately went to my own bag of tricks. Sometimes I get lucky on a single exposure, but most of the time I already have a post-processing idea in mind in the field.
Very cool SOOC shot! Love these crisp winter mornings.
