If you’re already in PA and the park is open you gotta see Hurricane Ridge.

You’ll be very near the Hoh rainforest in the Olympic National Park. Check it out.

I was lucky enough to have had a good education and training to do what I love here in Washington. I’m also pretty lucky that I was able to afford a home before prices skyrocketed in an area that suddenly became a landlord/real estate investor’s paradise. I’m seeing a lot of misery in hard working folks who are being priced out of their dreams here and a lot of callousness from the folks who “got theirs.” I love it, but it’s breaking my heart. But that’s not just Washington, tbh. EDIT: The beauty of our state is beyond measure. Get out and experience it.

Rattlesnake Ledge is definitely fine to hike right now. You might want to check conditions for Mount Si and Pilchuk, but Si should be fine. I would not hike Lake 22 right now due to the snow.

Perfectly safe to stay on the coast.
You’ll be able to hike Mt. Si & Rattlesnake with waterproof boots— you won’t want to do both because they are quite similar.
You can visit Snoqualmie— check out REI for gear rental if you don’t bring warm enough / waterproof items OR if you want to snowshoe or Nordic ski.
*Keep in mind these are essentially 3 hour drives without traffic.
However, you can easily spend your time in Port Angeles exploring the surrounding area. Which, IMO, is really lovely. You could make the 30 minute drive out to Lake Crescent or the 2 hour drive to Cape Flattery (the northwestern most point of the contiguous US & where the straight of Juan de Fuca meets the Pacific Ocean).
Enjoy!! Bring warm coats & waterproof outer layers! (And gloves and hats!)

The state sometimes has CSR remote positions! You just have to keep checking for new listings.

I'm sorry I have to live with being me as well. My post history will tell you all you need to know about why I'm a negative a-hole. I'm working on myself, and my mental healh. It's just that why takes only a few moments to happen, or in my case years, can take a lifetime to fix. I wasn't trying to shit on anything either. Just dropping my opinion based on what I've seen in western and eastern washington. White pass is a sight to behold.

I love it. It’s beautiful here. It’s very expensive though. I’d like to live here forever but I’m not sure I’d even be able to afford a house here.

I’d drive to Mukilteo, take the ferry to Whidbey Island, check that out, and then head up to Deception Pass!

I lived in southlake union for 6 months. That's literally downtown. You seem like you're having a bad day and I'm sorry for that. I hope it gets better. I also worked at pike's place market and that was a great experience, because you get to meet and greet people from all walks of life.

Why can't we all just have a little respect for each other? Why are some insulting, degrading words worth not saying in fear of offending me, but others are okay? I don't wanna argue, just saying that I moved away from eastern Kentucky to start a new life and I've had to deal with this type of shit for years. That's all I was trying to say.

You can walk on the ferry to Victoria, BC and spend the day there before catching a return ferry.

I thought I didn't because I've lived here for 40 years. Left and came back 10 months later. It's just beautiful here and surprisingly the people are nicer than where I was at least. Lots of nature to see. Beautiful skies and Water!!! Just high cost of living.

HELL YEAH. This state is beautiful and the people on the west coast are kind. Over here in the center of the country its kinda a shithole, but still naturally beautiful.

Anything in particular? Do you have a degree? What kind of work experience? There are a bunch of insurance adjusting jobs that are remote.

I’d recommend Netshed #9 for breakfast in Gug Harbor. Best breakfast ever. They even have their porch over the water open if you want to be brave, it’s got tents and heaters and your fork could fall into the ocean.

Thanks, That means a lot honestly. I've been in therapy, and seeing a pysche doctor for almost a decade and it's a journey honestly. Especially when the on medicine that helps you isn't covered by insurance.
