Man that’s a very cool building. Can you go inside still? It looks like it’s in pretty good shape for its age.

And Yakima Valley produces 75% of America's hops (more hops then produced in the country of Germany).

I don’t have anything helpful to add, I’m sorry. But I read this and sympathize. I’m sorry it’s hard for you right now.

Check out the geology in the valley between Leavenworth and Wenatchee. It’s like the center of the rock world.

The only trail I can think of at Rainier right now that wouldn’t require microspikes or snowshoes is the Carbon River Road Trail. The trail is washed out between the Green Lake trailhead and Ipsut Creek Camp, but a nice walk in the forest on a former road.

The fun part is to follow the largest geological event in the PNW . The great floods essentially shaped everything from Montana to the Pacific ocean. To follow the whole event and really see what it did is pretty fascinating. You will start up by Glacier national park and end in the wine country of the Willamette Valley.

And more than 90% of the organic apples. Also interesting that I can buy WA apples cheaper thousands of miles away from WA than at home in WA. Economics.

Yup, WA has rainforest and desert. You can go from a place that average 7 and a half inches of rain a year to one that averages 125, in like 6 hours.
Alaska has WA beat for sheer awesome beauty, but WA definitely has more diverse terrain.
Also fun fact WA produces about 70% of Americas apples.

I am also amazed and I majored in Geography at University. Here in Washington, we have glaciers, temperate rain forest, fjords, high desert, grasslands, mountain peaks, volcanoes, and much much more. I really believe that Washington has the most geographic diversity of all 50 States.
Plus Sasquatch.

Just moved to WA. I’ve learned this state has so many amazing places to visit like this. I grew up in AZ and loved it, but I am learning WA has so many amazing things to check out as well. Always looking for recommendations to check out.

Not this winter. It’s been unnaturally warm. We usually get a little to some snow by this point (depends on where along the east coast) but seems the snow only wants to happen on the west coast and midwest

East entrance is still closed. Grove of the Patriarchs has been closed since Covid started.
Skip Mt. Rainier next week with a bad back, unless you are willing to just drive up through the snow to the visitor center at Paradise.

So you are currently employed by the organization which falsely reported your hours? As in you would be reporting back to them after your leave? Do you have access to paystubs to email HR documenting your hours and requiring them to contact ESD to amend?
I don't know of a lawyer or group to contact. You could also try contacting the labor department if they are under reporting your hours.

18.5 is pretty conservative ... it's closer to 21-22. It's a long day but if you're on the trail by 6:30 you can be back before dark!

That sucks, but a lawyer isn't going to help make the government do anything faster. Can you go on short term or long term disability leave?

As someone who has done this with a few friends, moderately fit, it took about 22 hours with several breaks throughout the day. There were surprisingly several groups attempting it that day and a group of runners from CWU I don't think I'll ever through hike it again in one go but I'm glad we did it. Fingers crossed for this year's lottery.

Ok, question for you then. Where is eastern Wa? ID border to cascades or ID border to Ritzville? For real, not messing with you. It bothers me that people don’t account for central Wa , which looks like Amarillo Tx, and say everything beyond cascades is eastern wa
