I'm lucky to live where I live around Spokane. I'm an hour from the mountains of NE Washington and Idaho, but I'm also close to the some of the beauty the scablands and plateau have to offer

Walla walla is not a bad place to live. Small quiet town vibes. I like it here. The blue mountains and the umatilla are in my backyard too.

If you ever miss Texas you can go to the Tri Cities. The most Texas feeling metropolitan area in Washington.
Plus you can go to the Blue Mountains

Try the Facebook and the Nextdoor social media platforms if you haven’t yet. Nextdoor is location based and it has a lot of posts regarding finding lost pets. Good luck!

I remember moving my Chicago friend out to Seattle. We cross out of Idaho and he goes “I thought WA was green?”. We got to have a nice long chat about rain shadows, lol

This arboretum was basically my back yard growing up. It’s a great asset.

Yeah my girlfriend talked me into moving from my beloved home of Texas to Washington with promises of huge pine and fir trees, endless hiking trails, mountain views, gloomy gorgeous pacific coast, small seaside towns, and a picture perfect loggers paradise. Then moves me to walla walla 😂😂😂. Still beautiful though!

Thanks for the laugh this morning, I needed it. There's beauty everywhere, even where you live!

Aw, that's too bad. I used to visit on Sunday on the way back from camping back in the 90s. Chicken fried steak never tasted so good!

I was born in 78. I went to Seattle a lot to hang out and go to laser shows and things starting around 1991. I didn't "grow up there" but I have a lot of tourist experience from there. Alice in Chains concert to "pain in the grass". I went to hempfest multiple years starting in 93.

When I’m in ocean shores I really like renting the electric boats on the canals and Duck Lake. Fun way to spend a couple hours. I don’t think they’re open this time of year though.

The Wonderland Trail goes all the way around Rainier with areas you can camp, you just need to get a pass which is the hard part, good luck!
