It was so wild and like memory holed by everyone it seems like. Couldn’t go inside offices or buildings with air conditioning because Covid, couldn’t open windows too cool our house because of smoke, and it was so hot and no one has air conditioning here. And weirdly we thought the post office was going to implode or something so I bought too many stamps…weird weird.

That is an incredible tool! Looks like I need to make sure "St. John Telephone, Inc." which I believe is AKA "Colfax Cable" does have a fiber optic line to the building. It's at least within their coverage.

Thanks a lot!

I had thought it was a new built in cost because of Washington state’s carbon cap and trade. Basically the cost of the new cap and trade system is being passed on to consumers even though the first auction JUST took place and was completely voluntary. Gas companies can now charge higher rates and say “it’s because of this new tax”. (While still pulling in record profit after tax).

The FCC broadband map is a decent starting place, followed by the websites of the ISP's indicated:

https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov

They did a major overhaul a few months ago that should significantly reduce the inaccuracies, but at a minimum, knowing what ISP's report to the FCC that they offer service in your area gives you a hint who to contact and confirm.

It looks like Lumen (formerly Centurylink) and St. John's Telephone
