The UN yesterday ordered the US to enforce federal laws, and Biden promised to respect and follow UN treaties that we signed, so we might make this illegal if Biden keeps his promise.

So you need to come back and visit the Peninsula, Coast. Central lakes and eastern plains ;) oh. And the islands. Almost forgot about those.

See Ruby Beach, Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, Visit Orcas Island, Cross the North Cascades Highway over to Mazama and Winthrop then down the Columbia. Go to Spokane and drive up to Colville, then back down all the way to Pullman (stop at Steptoe Butte) and explore the Palouse. Explore the Columbia Gorge. See Mt Adams and go back to Rainier. Wander around Hood Canal.
And so much more!

My family was stationed out here, lived in Bremerton, Bangor and Silverdale. We left when I was 11 and I pilgrimaged my way back at 22 in 1980, arriving two days before St. Helens popped.
Been hunkered-down like a geoduck ever since!

Reply to In Washington, can an individual become a paid caregiver for a spouse? If yes, how? by reginaphalange360
There seems to be conflicting answers so I'll throw mine into the mix.
In Washington, my mother could not be a paid caregiver for my dad, but my younger sibling could. Family can, but not spouses in my experience.
You can hire a caregiver of course, free of charge as long as your spouse does not receive the disability maximum.

This is what you should do. Call the yard up and tell them you don’t want the car and you’d like to sell it to them for salvage. Sign the title over like you would any other sale and wash your hands of this.

My old car got stolen and stripped, I didn't want to deal with the bs so I just went down to the towing company and signed over the title.

You know, I kind-of-but-not-really-wish I’d grown up somewhere flat like Florida or Illinois or something instead of Washington just so I could experience seeing a mountain (much less a mountain like Rainier!!) for the first time and have my brain melt. So glad it was that magical for you.
Cool fact, Rainier’s the tallest mountain in the lower 48 United States measured from base to summit. You won’t find that kind of hill anywhere else in the contiguous states!!

If you still owe after the auction sale and don't pay, it goes to collection.

My husband's company moved us out here in 2015. After a couple of years we sat down to decide if we wanted to stay. He was thinking of changing jobs and that would give us the ability to move. Every time we thought of a place we might like we compared it to here. And so, we stayed, bought a house in a dip in the market, and feel gratitude every day that we wake up here. Washington really is something special.
