Make sure you take some time to visit Soap Lake, just west of Moses Lake on highway 17. From there you can head north to Lake Lenore caves which is a great spot to see some of the erosion caused by the Missoula floods and has a nice hiking trail then you can head up north to Dry Falls and Coulee City. Great places for a day trip, there are a variety of small shops/markets in Soap Lake to grab a little picnic at the caves or Dry falls. Dry falls has a visitor center with lots of information on the area and hiking trails at the base of the falls. Message me if you would like some more information on places to visit, I've lived in Grant County for most of my life.

In Arlington in the 70’s Dad and his business partner tried to be the first every year to put a bouquet of Skunk Cabbage on each other’s doorstep before dawn. They do really stink and so do your clothes after mucking about in the dark at 4AM!

I saw a similar looking fox in Paradise area on 9/20/2020. Maybe they come to the area late summer/early fall?

I think they are still pretty lovely with their bright flowers and huge glossy leaves. Evidently they are technically edible, though even my goats won't touch them.

How long do foxes live? We saw a similar one in 2010! (my first trip to WA before moving here that's why i know the year) But he wasn't as fluffy, it was August or Oct I think. I think I have a photo somewhere ...
edit: changed shaggy to fluffy

Then he'd give a wink and jump a fence, disappearing into the unknown.

I'm not into weed but our state has made a lot of money off of it. Hopefully Idaho keeps sending their money across the border.
