Before someone is like “why did you name your dog after an anime character wtf?”,

I named him after the sound Hashira for multiple reasons. This pup was the most patient, loving, and gentle boy you could ever meet. He was also the most courageous and brave little spunkball. He was 1 of 13 pups in his litter, and was given slim chance to live by his vet. She kept telling his breeder she didn’t expect him to live thru the first 48 hours. Yet, somehow beat the odds.

Tengen, also means “Heaven” in kanji. One of the 3 types of scripture in Japanese. In ways its hard to describe, I felt like he was sent from heaven, by a family member who had recently passed. He came into my life during one of my lowest points, and taught me many things. From what love and devotion truly means, to grief. He truly was, the greatest dog ❤️

After years as a rural community (farming, timber, horse breeders, etc) Edgewood has opened up some of its community to new developments. Nicer new homes with bigger lots are going in and an emerging service sector is also building, plus new community parks. I like the fact that we’re close to 1-5 and 167 but nobody has reason to come to the community so traffic is quite low. Very small town feel. Try the area near Edgemont Middle school. My second pick is University Place.

Highway 2 is slower through the mountains. If you’re worried about snow, Highway 2 takes you slowly through the highest points and is more scenic. I 90 isn’t as scenic, but usually gets you through the mountains quickly. If I have to drive in snow, I’d take route 2. If snow and ice are not likely, I’ll take I 90.
