Good. Maybe they'll not go later on, and it'll be as uncrowded as the photo shows.

I'm guessing Crescent Beach. Good spot for getting the Peninsula as a backdrop.

Yes if you make that much every year. But for people who that might be a one in a lifetime deal, or once every few years at best, they can't afford the big boy tricks. And so it will hit the most those who can afford it the least. As always.

If you think Oregon has it right than you're not being very realistic. Oregon had so much potential and it's completely wasted because of implementing lots of bad ideas on top of bad management. It went from being a destination state to being a exodus state.
I have nothing against income tax if all other states implement one. Otherwise it's just much too simple for those actually paying majority of these taxes to move to a no income tax state.

+1 to Renters insurance. It's a good idea anyway.

Renters insurance is cheap and that might work to get a bill in your name. You can always cancel it.

Makes sense. Good luck! I did it the other way around but I was registered with the city at my address to proved residency.

Yeah I read about that. I would have to apply for a brand new license from square one. I have everything besides the residence.
I'll just have to get some stuff w my name on it mailed then.
I need a US license bcs car insurance.

Not all EU licenses are treated the same. Every country needs to sign an agreement with each state. I know that Germany has an agreement with WA, otherwise you have to follow the directions for getting a brand new license.
Otherwise there is a list of “Proof of Washington State residence” (first result on Google). You could get a bank and phone bill in your name billed to your relatives’ address to satisfy these requirements.
But on another more practical note, if you aren’t planning on staying long your EU license should be fine. I don’t know the requirements for translation but it’s generally accepted in WA for visitors.
