Oh, that's great to know. It's a duplicate title but it looks like it'll hit 90 days on Tuesday and I was planning on going Wednesday to the DMV.

We absolutely had these shootings in/around Seattle schools in the '80s-'90s, I should know since I was attending a Seattle high school when Columbine happened.

I presume I don't have to explain gang related shootings to you but they were an issue then that has improved but hasn't disappeared since the same social issues at their root still exist. If you haven't experienced sustained bullying/cruelty accompanied by indifference by teachers and administrators who choose not to intervene it's going to be difficult to explain why I didn't find Columbine shocking.

In summary, we can't stop school shootings until we demand more from those who we elect to represent us, but the parties in power have failed to address it. Time for real change, not just slogans.

If the date on the title is 90+ days from the date you go to the state there shouldn’t be any taxes.

Love it here. Wife and I have had some amazing memories there. We got our dog Sadie from there (met the owners that were giving her up) and I proposed to her there. One of the best parks in Washington

What is your parents state of residency. If they kept their Washington residency (something they may well have done as we do not have income tax) then there is a good chance you qualify. If they have a different state residency that may be harder.

I think in order to qualify as a Washington state resident you need to live here for 6 months consecutive, I'm not sure how that would apply to the college requirements though.

I suspect a big part of noticing an increase is social media. Word spreads quickly.

Eh there were shootings in the 90s. 2 come to my mind immediately. Columbine High school was a big deal. Lindhurst High school in my hometown had a shooting as well.

If you're up for a walk on the beach, the flood basalts you mentioned in Eastern Washington can also be seen at Cape Disappointment State Park near Ilwaco. North Head Lighthouse sits on top of the basalt flow, but you can also go down to the beach to see where those basalt flows met the ocean.

Best hotel is Enzian Inn. Great breakfast buffet , comfy beds, Bavarian decor and underground swimming pool/spa. They also let you use their cross country ski gear.

They are making their demands (more mental health counselors in the schools) heard and addressed. They are protesting in a safe and legal way. This is how change begins. I am proud of our future leaders!
