Doc Maynard on Bainbridge Island. A romantic ferry ride and short walk from dock thru picturesque Winslow. Seafood is first rate.

13 Moons at Swinomish casino in Anacortes. It's seafood centric but has stunning views of Mt. Baker and Fidalgo Bay

At least it was mostly dangerously dry underbrush and not very many trees IIRC. As much as the smoke sucked, this was ultimately healthier for the forest and prevents larger fires in the future that do destroy entire forests, so they mostly focused on keeping it away from people

It's one of those things that when you live elsewhere and you come over, it's not ugly, until you see it again, and again, and again, and again, and suddenly those gently rolling hills are obnoxious to look at and you're happy to go home.

I think OP may be referring to that strip of untilled soil in the front of the photo which is of course still part of the 99.9% of land used for industrial agriculture, in the Palouse at least. There may be a strip of native prairie down by where you see those trees in the back. That area all the way in the back right around Steptoe Butte includes 437 acres of land surrounding the State Park was purchased by two families for preservation in 2016.

I'm not sure I'd say texas is a great example lol, I found it to have about the same variation as Washington when i lived there tbh. A state like Pennsylvania might be a better example imo.

You can do the opposite and take them to Dick's in Spokane, if necessary.

I've always been fond of Bizarro Italian Cafe in Wallingford. Quirky, cute and the food is great!

Unpopular Opinion: Never waste money on pasta. It’s 5¢ worth of box pasta and canned sauce from some shitty Cisco or FSA food truck. And fuck Bizarros. They’re just as shitty but with crappier service and a 20% mark-up. If you want pasta, set the table, light candles, and whip it up yourself.

Caveman kitchen has had a waiver on that clause for like 50 years now. But besides that you are correct.
