Absolutely!! I’m new to the area myself but I promise the pictures I have don’t do it any justice, it’s so breathtaking in person. Just make sure you wear some good hiking boots if you wanna visit, the hike down to the beach is a bit slippery and steep but SO worth it

PFML is what you are looking for. I would suspect that it depends on where the taxes are taken out. I believe they go back a year to determine eligibility. They are pretty hard to get on the phone and never reply to emails.

Eastern Washington is very green north of Spokane. The Selkirk Mountains in the northeast corner are part of the inland temperate rainforest. The brown wasteland that we see during most of the year in central and eastern Washington are farms and rangeland that used to be prairie, semi-arid steppe, ponderosa pine shrub steppe, and forests.

Washington state has a program on top of FMLA. Not only guarantees job but also pays a portion of your salary. As someone else said there are stipulations for qualifying. You have to have worked so many hours per year. You also have to pay the premium through payroll deduction. Since the employer is in Oregon likely the OP has not been paying it.
