Wherever you go, just make sure you have a plan for internet. There's very little broadband in rural areas, there can be lots of trees so Starlink may be questionable, and cell service is really poor and slow outside cities and towns.

I'm going to go against the grain and recommend where I live because I love it and don't want to deprive someone of this great place. Bellingham seems exactly like what you're looking for, tons of nature and lots of great breweries although not the friendliest people. Not like they are mean but just tend to keep to themselves so it can be hard to make friends. There are lots of community events though.

If I were in your shoes though I would go for glacier or mazama, really get out in the wilderness and away from any kind of city.

It sounds like the shark was circling them since the husband saw it several times before swimming back to shore. Maybe his wife wandered far enough away that he didn't notice anything? I'm not actually sure how obvious it is when someone is attacked by a shark.

Another source says they did find part of a bathing suit as well as a snorkel set. Maybe they called off the search when they confirmed that the shark existed?

The Cascade Mountains in Washington are consistently the snowiest places in the country, at least where officially measured. Mount Baker ski area holds the world record for highest recorded snowfall for a season. Stevens Pass, the nearest ski resort to Plain, averages 460 inches of snow per year. It is true that it snows very little in the cities along Puget Sound where most people live as warmer air off the ocean moderates temperatures. But even close the Ocean there are glaciers in the Olympic Mountains.

However, there are some lease violations that are deemed “non-curable.” These non-curable violations require a 3-Day Notice to Quit. Tenants cannot fix the violation and are required to move out by the end of 3 days.

Non-curable lease violations include:

Engaging in criminal activity

Being a nuisance on the rental property

Hosting an illegal or unlawful business

Creating harmful waste

In the case of illegal activity, a landlord is not legally obligated to give tenants a written notice. A landlord may proceed directly to the next step in the eviction process.

Illegal activity includes:

Physical assault that leads to an arrest

Possession and/or firing of an illegal firearm

Involvement in the creation, distribution, or consumption of a controlled substance
