You think you get to dictate what activities parents can take their own kids to??? You're the delusional one. You want to homeschool your kids because you're afraid of the "liberal agenda" in public schools, go ahead. You want to take your kid to church every Sunday, go ahead. And if I want to take my kids to a drag show brunch and the public library every weekend, I have that right. That's what this country is about. Freedom for all, not just white, conservative Christians. You don't like freedom? Go move somewhere fascist so you can be amongst your own kind.

For all the people commenting here about it being fine as long as you don't dance around naked... going to public restrooms as a non-gender conforming person is stressful. And I'm not even trans. Do a single one of you who commented have a trans friend or family member? If you do, and make comments like that, you're 100% part of the problem.

It’s a reference to an iconic Vine.

If you don't want your kids to go to a drag show brunch, don't bring them to a drag show brunch. I don't know how much easier that is. Just like I wouldn't bring my kids to church. You do you boo boo, but you don't get to tell other parents what to do with their kids.

You’re getting scammed… NEVER pay somebody to leave.
Call the police, tell them your feel threatened and unsafe with them there and demand a no contact order as you feel they may harm you. That’s a quick way to have somebody forcibly removed without any of the hassle of an eviction. Been there done that after my ex wife over stayed her welcome and nearly killed my cat.

So long as you spend money and don't impede anyone else from spending money Leavenworth will welcome you with open arms regardless of who you are.

Are you a renter yourself, or do you own your home? If a renter, was your friend allowed to stay, are you allowed to sublet?
Does your friend have a written lease with you? Were they paying any rent?

Lol this is like the opposite of the conservative guy who’s afraid to go to Seattle. I would be willing to bet that you’d be safer in all the small towns of Washington than many parts of Seattle. Just go have fun and eat some kraut you dope.

Man I remember returning a car to like a block from there in the early aughts real early on a Sunday morning and marvelling at how empty the stretch of parking lots were there. Should've bought property...

I don’t get how you can type out a comment like this and think “mainstream media propaganda” is why somebody would hesitate before visiting Central WA

You got me. You should never do these hippy ass rock stacks. They’re environmentally destructive. “Leave No Trace” means don’t fuck it up for everyone else.

i wanted to visit forks but then read how a family was chased and trapped because some weirdos thought they were “liberals/antifa.” not every place is safe for everyone and that’s just reality. sundown towns still exist, etc.

God SLU is so different now. I remember when it was maybe my first or second time in Seattle, I was broke. Since I was a bum, my friend told me to go “fly a sign” (panhandle) at the 99 off ramp right there on Denny and I remember thinking “what a ridiculous sign”
CobraPony67 t1_j0uybkw wrote
That won't be confusing to someone from out of town... /s Hey, there is a car wash sign but no car wash? weird.

What? No, a lot of mountain towns are conservative because they’re rural. Leavenworth just (culturally) isn’t rural. I didn’t say anything about the politics of the thing

My dtr and I visited when she was VERY early in her transition (so looked very much like a male though she was dressing as a woman), and we had zero issues including when using a public bathroom (she went into the women's).
