I've been to a couple Chinese restaurants in Worcester and they're not bad but I'm looking for some more suggestions. I want to see the best this city has to offer. Thank you in advance.

Red Pepper and Wan Wang.
Red Pepper for Szechuan Chinese, Golden Wok for Americanized Chinese
Foodworks Millbury
These are the only two correct answers
Kenichi on Shrewsbury Street or Wan Wang on Park Ave
Red Pepper and Wan Wang but for a small neighborhood place, I like Dragon Chef on Grafton Street.
If you want good Chinese, Red pepper. If you want perfectly shitty Chinese-American takeout, I love Chef Ho on Millbury St. And that’s not bullshit. I love Chef Ho. I grew up eating “Chinese” take out. It wasn’t until a decade or so ago that I realized that Chinese food and Chinese-American takeout were different things. I love Chinese food and will keep exploring it wherever I can. But sometimes I just want a dinner combo of Gen Gau with your choice of app on a huge bed of fried rice. Chef Ho does this and does it reliably well.
Also, I know it’s a lil out of the way, but Meiji in N Oxford makes some damn good food. I’ve only been twice but both times I left pleasantly surprised. Menu isn’t anything special. Standard Chinese-American plus sushi, but the food quality is very high.
Lucky Gourmet!
🎶🎶 Chinese food makes me sick 🎶🎶
I don't like Chinese food but like once a year I crave it and I'll only get Wen Hing on lower Lincoln st. When my mother visits from Tampa she HAS to get Wen Hing. She said Florida Chinese takeout is different and disgusting. Everything about Florida is different and disgusting 😅😅😅
Adding my voice to the red pepper crowd.
Wong Dynasty in Holden
Red pepper has ruined all other Chinese food for me
Red pepper. I haven't had Wan Wang but it's now on my list.
Mins wok is my favorite for take out and Wong Dynasty is the best for dine in food and drinks.
Mins wok. Harvest moon was my backup when mins was closed.
Golden Wok is the closest I've found to nyc takeout style. The chicken wings especially, those are hard to get right.
Mins wok
Hong Kong Island- incredible.
Three mai tais and you wont even remember what you had lmao
Mins wok for lunch, Wan Wang for the Mai Tai, spicy Rangoon’s and Fingers after work
Happy House or Hong Kong Island.
I like wen hing on Lincoln street by the highway entrance/exit
I really like Golden Wok. Their hot & sour soup tastes a bit different than some other places like they're using a fish base, maybe? But not in a bad way, it's good
Red Pepper. There is no other place.
Not in Worcester but Cheoy Lees in Holden is a great option if you live in 01606
Finally someone with taste. People are saying the Wong which is unarguably worse
There’s only like 3 real choices here. Honk Kong island is pretty good. Cheoy Lee’s in Holden. But no doubt best Chinese has to be Cheoy Lee’s 2 in West Boylston. The Wong is not even comparable
I got food poisoning from Kenichi lmao
These are the only correct answers with a slight edge given to Red Pepper because they serve only Chinese food (both authentic and americanized) whereas Wan Wang also serves Japanese. I tend to prefer places that stick to one cuisine.
both owned by the same family^, as well as former Sake Bomb
no it doesn't, that whole Chinese food MSG $hit has been debunked, MSG is just a salt, SODIUM is literally in its name
If I'll drive across the entire city a couple-plus times a year for a Steve's Pizza grinder and some Ziti & Meatballs, you better believe I'll do the same for HKI.
(lol I know... "entire city". But when you're getting takeout for the fam, time is a thing)
Best Chinese Restaurant in Lincoln. Combo C13 w/ Orange Chicken. My go-to. Have been going there for years. From all the take out spots I've been to, they have the biggest portion sizes and best tasting orange chicken. The fried rice is just ok ttho.
Wan wang is legit. Haven’t tried red pepper yet but it’s on my list.
Red Pepper for real Chinese, Golden House for American.
Dragon dynasty on highland st is pretty good. Also try the Chuan shabu on park ave.
Im going to have to try Wan wang since so many ppl on here recommend them they have 5 stars and good reviews i know it use to be the Ho toy restaurant.
Chuan Shabu on Park Ave for hot pot.
Happy House 💯 I think they are the best 🔥
Golden Wok on Grafton St is our go-to takeout
Wen Hing used to be my go to. Something changed and now the food isn't even midocre.
Red Pepper is great. Dragon Dynasty isn’t bad for fast. Also Golden Wok on Grafton St.
Wong SUCKS.
Cheoy Lee's in W. Boylston closed. I am sure you know that, though. I haven't been there since it changed over to Chang's.
It's from an LFO song, Summer Girls.
Mai tais are like boobs. Ones not enough and three is to many.
I used to call it hoytoy when I was little, every time we drove passed it. My mom and I still chuckle over it to this day. Just like the Aku-Aku I used to say FukuFuku. 😂
But hotoy used to be the best! Wan wang is pretty similar and really good. Just a little higher on the price range.
I second Hong Kong Island, on West Boylston street. This is our go-to take out Chinese restaurant. Wonderful owners and huge portions for the price.
I have family that live in FL as well and theirs musts when visiting are: Chinese (preferably Jasmines in Auburn - used to be only Food works on Stafford street until they closed), Wrights Chicken Farm in RI, and seafood.
Actually I didn’t, I moved away last year. That’s actually heartbreaking lol
I believe it was a long-time employee who took it over. From what I hear it's just as good, or better than it was.
I made the switch from Wrights to the Village Haven (not far from Wrights) last year and will probably not go back to Wrights. The experience is different and lacking compared to Wrights but the food was sooooo much better.
She use to say Hi welcome to Hoe toy lol
agreed on chef ho. they do american style chinese right, though i slightly prefer prefer wen hing on lincoln. allegedly they are owned by the same people but i'm not sure.
People use to say the food was nasty i only went there once when i first came to Worcester i wasnt impressed maybe this time il go back since its a different restaurant now.
you can't claim there are "no choices" and then drop hong kong island as your top pick for in the city. it's good, but please be serious. the best in the city? how many places have you tried?
Good to know, I’ll look into it, thanks! 😊
They only have 3 stars on Yelp. A few comments that they're not much better than Ho Toy. I mean, Red Pepper is at a 3.5, so I guess neither are well liked on Yelp.
And I have no suggestions on Chinese food in Worcester. There is Wong Dynasty and Yankee Grill in Holden though. Pretty good food even though the name is off putting.
They should have named it Wong dong dynasty.
Or Long dong dynasty hold the shrimp.

Mins wok on west boylston and dragons dynasty on highland.
Dragon 88’s is the best if you have a mai tai first.
