Friend of mine has a band space there. I've been to many a party in there. It's a lot of drugs and booze and no one overseeing anything. The space is wild, it's also another warehouse fire waiting to happen. Last time I was there I got lost for 20 minutes trying to exit the place. It's like a Neverending maze of hallways and turns. It's poorly lit like out of a horror film, black and red walls, foam on the walls for sound proofing and no neighbors around to call the cops on them. I always wondered how it got past fire safety and inspections.

Some people are crazy about it saying it will last a lifetime. I think that’s when things were made back in the day. They had a desk on sale for 600 lol

The greater public is fine. I rent nearby and this building is mainly deathmetal and hardcore. It has history and while this is probably the worst thing to happen there, it is not exactly a shocker.

Have you been there recently? I had a studio there for some time and the main door was frequently left unlocked. Also the spaces are pretty large and there were several medium to large parties that occurred regularly.

Occam's razor says people attended a party in a practice space(which isnt that big), something got out of hand and someone shot 6 people injuring them. they had to know each other because the only way into 88 webster st is to be let into the building by someone else, you cant just walk right in. ive been to practice shows there before.
