Nothing that I can recommend personally unfortunately! I've never used them but I live in the area so I just know that they exist, they should come right up on google so you can compare prices and reviews or even location. I know the one in Marlborough is in the Apex center so there's some food and entertainment options right there.

The DIY punk scene is good but not as big as it was 5+ years ago. Lots of great local bands to check out. Venues to look for as some others have said are The Raven, Ralph’s, Electric Haze, and some house venues you’ll need to “as a punk” for the address to

There aren't really any that i know of. Not for that kind of thing, anyway. I would love to open one actually, but I have any way to get starting capital because I'm poor...

People just use local restaurants with good wifi.

Panera bread is ok, but the WiFi is time limited starting with the lunch rush.

The Bean Counter has 2 locations now, and they are great. The one on highland St can get a little crowded with WPI students though. Haven't actually been to the new one on Grove St, but it's a little further walk from the main campus.

Birch Tree Bread Company is great too.

Nu Kitchen is good, but they tend to have their volume cranked too high.

Denny's got me through college because they're cheap and open almost 24/7, but you have to ask if their wifi is working that day, and you'll need a booth for power. If you need privacy or quiet for voice calls, you might be able to ask to use the back room, but you'll likely be forgotten about with regards to service during the busy times because they don't usually use it except for events.

McDonald's has acceptable wifi most places now, as does burger king and Dunkin'Donuts.

I've been known to park outside of Lowe's in a pinch.

Yeah, I'm all for calling out police for overreaching their authority but this doesn't seem like this is a case of that. WFD discovered a crime in the process of fighting a fire, appropriately responded to the fire, and then reported the crime afterward. Hard to make WPD the bad guys in this situation.

In the general region you have Providence which gets some good acts that don't come through Worcester. Check out Columbus Theatre or Performing Arts Center or Bold Point Park in the warmer months, just to name a few venues.

for anyone wondering, the ride is very accommodating. there are no drops and you will not be left behind. the point is not the ride so much as the community. obviously it is a 15 mile bike ride so you should be able to do that. this is a great time and an amazing way to tour the city. you will have a great time. so tune up your ride and join us!

came here to say the Palladium! I've been seeing shows there since 2000 and I concur, I've seen so many awesome bands there. I even saw Kanye West there back when College Dropout first came out and no one knew who he was (obviously because he wouldn't be caught dead there today). John Legend opened for him! He was incredible.
