There is NOWHERE to take kids that’s not a park or the Ecotarium (which is lovely but gets old after 5 visits a year).
We have to leave Worcester for every single birthday party and to keep them busy on weekends and holidays. Yesterday we just sat inside because going somewhere to do something for our kid means driving to Westborough or Leominster and we don’t always feel like doing that. It’s a constant conversation with other parents about how crappy Worcester is when you have kids to entertain.

Affordable housing and better public transportation.I
Civic pride. Worcester is a great city. It isn't perfect, but it has a lot to offer.

To bring back sky-lite and more outlets for youth the new Boys & Girls club is impossible to find and little league baseball has had a major drop off …I’m not saying it’s a must but having stuff to do help them interact it’s tough to grow up these days

Idk, graffiti (when it’s not toy shit) tends to make a lot of places look colorful and less bland, but that’s just me

From the way the article is written, it doesn't sound like they want to make it a requirement for children to learn on a snowday, but instead creating something to allow them to do stuff at home to learn.
That's the impression I got from this.
However, that being said. Snowdays are perhaps one of the best things that we have as a part of our local culture. Growing up in New England, snow days were one of those things that one looks back upon fondly as an adult.

Birchtree Bread Co - good pizza that isn't too heavy (the zucchini and pesto pizza is my favorite) but I usually like to grab a sandwich, soup, and a treat while I'm out and about.

I just had a hankering for some crispy pakora from Namaste Woo.
And this isn't for lunch but Doughnut Homies has the best donuts in town in my opinion.

Bulkie roll recipes are more top secret than the Krabby Patty formula.
I’ve never baked bread myself from scratch, but I grew up eating them in Milford because the Italian deli was a short walk away. Walking with my grandmother there was always a treat.

The Public Market. There are so many great choices of different food from a variety of cultures. Our favorite is African Fusion!

Treat him with an ounce of kindness and he’ll treat you like family. I went in college and he could tell I was younger and would absolutely insist on giving me free Baklava. Great place all around.

Indeed, Mr. Krabs has nothing on the keepers of the beloved Bulkie recipe. The 2 recipes I've worked with get close... but not quite. Thanks for sharing another idea!
