Mechanics Hall actually used to be a roller rink in its early days!!! Honestly it would be kinda iconic to host roller skating nights in there as it is

Everyone realizes that we barely get snow here anymore right? Except for the last few days it’s been 40 or above every day. You can do whatever you want outside right now. It’s like it’s fucking spring already.

Belsito’s Deli, Plantation street. Best Italian sub in the city. Gotta call ahead, no walk-ins, drive thru window on the side. Get it with sharp provolone and ALWAYS ask for “the juice” (Kenny’s oil and vinegar mixture).

Higgins Armory back. And Pixels & Pints. I'd like a damned good video arcade, too.

Bancroft Tower is pretty cool! On Bancroft Tower Rd. Elm Park is a nice walk, and I think the juried sculptures are still up. Lots of great restaurants - Fatima’s Cafe on W. Boylston St is a fave - awesome samosas, mango lassi, and E. African fare. The kids love Mochi Do - Japanese donut shop on Harding St across from Worcester Public Market.

Ernie’s on Millbury st has a drive though touch-less. You just have to go around the side.

What are people who are at work during 6-730am legal window for putting them out supposed to do? What about people who work in bars or restaurants until midnight and need to be sleeping during that time?
The whole system is predicated on the assumption that everybody works 8-5 and can easily put their bags out when they're supposed to. It's a flawed assumption and you can't blame people for putting their bags out when it works in their schedules. If we had raccoon-proof wheeled carts like other cities do, this wouldn't be an issue.

Good post. It's really incredible how far behind Midwestern cities Worcester is on basic livability.

BT's is fine. West Side is better, except for maybe the brisket. Somehow they both have terrible cornbread, which is weird because good cornbread is not hard to make.

Every Thursday night at 7:30PM there's live professional wrestling upstairs at the White Eagle Polish Hall on Green St. The most fun I've ever had for $10 in Worcester!

There is also a pretty park called Green Hill Park with a Vietnam Memorial that is serene. Also a small/sort of funny “farm” with some animals to observe. I think there is something in Worcester for everyone - depends on your ages and interests. Certainly some very interesting old architecture in different areas as well.

I’ve found offer up very unreliable. Nextdoor won’t get you much traffic and the people who do use it, tend to be older. Craigslist is good because it covers a wide area, and a lot of people use it. FB is good because it has such a massive reach to people, local and distant. It really depends on what is being sold, but many things I want to sell I post on CL and FB for best coverage.

Spring and Summer are awesome in the city. Sept and Oct are great too.
EDIT: okay the constant fireworks are a drag.

There’s not much this time of year. Probably one of the most boring months of the year.
If you come by the 17,18,19th of Feb there’s Monster Jam that comes each year for Valentine’s Day. My GF usually takes me each year and its romantic seeing monster trucks jump around.
There’s the ice skating rink on green street. We have escape rooms. Arcade and pool halls Maybe catch a railers game (hockey) Museums Laser tag but that’s in westborough down the shrewsbury turnpike I think. About 10 mins from Worcester. Blackstone valley plaza shopping Plenty of bars and restaurants of varying quality though. If you want to increase your chances of a fresh and tasty meal wait for Friday or Saturday to eat out.

That looks like either a large or XL size version. We're talking around 200 lbs of weight that is super awkward to pick up. Unless someone is backing their car up to it and has some sort of ramp, it's going to be tough to take.
....unless I am completely underestimating Worcester thieves.
