I agree! My husband spent a month and a half there, not too long ago because he suffered a stroke and had other medical issues. The most I paid in one day was eight dollars, and that was just for one day. Not to mention I have children that had appointments there, so a couple days I had to pay to park twice. -It wasn’t until a couple days before he was discharged that I learned that if you go to valet, you could pay for a week, which would’ve been significantly cheaper. Some days I wouldn’t even visit because I couldn’t afford it. It definitely is a financial burden on some and it’s unfortunate.

Thanks everyone! I used to work in Boston and tried to support local businesses. I’m actually finding Worcester has more and better ethnic food than Boston did, which is awesome.

I'm usually one of those GAs (grumpy assholes) who was prepared to respond with some bullshit snarky response, but your itinerary was so damn good I've packed that away (will save it for when the incessant, relentless and annoying AF fireworks begin in a couple months).

In the meantime, yeah, Worcester does have some cool shit to do for an out of towner.

Add in the Worcester Historical museum, swap out Armsby Abby for the Boulevard Diner is $$ is tight, and avoid Worcester if there is still snow on the ground and Kelly Square AT ALL TIMES, and you're good to go.

Coney island for cheap dogs. Ralphs diner for cheap burgers/dogs/chili for dinner.

Bennies at the summit is a cheap little spot with sandwiches and good entrees.

Im not personally a fan of Quinns on West Boylston st, but they list deals every day on their site.

Also Ready set pizza on west boylston st is inexpensive and always open late.

We tried blacksheep over the weekend. We did take out and everything was cold (despite prompt pick up and a 3 min drive home. Serving sizes are small. The carrot cake was abysmal.

West side bbq is equal to if not better.

I’m sticking with my original thought that we now have 3 mediocre options for BBQ on the west side - feels a bit saturated.

That would be nice but at the same time even worse because some kids would get that added enrichment and many others would not. I get the idea behind it but it shouldn’t be a thing. If they want to offer additional learning opportunities there are better ways to ensure they are delivered effectively.
