I once watched a trash man take a bag, attempt to throw it in the back of the truck, miss, spill the bag all over the road in front of the house who’s trash he was supposed to be taking away.. then get on the back of the truck and away it went. Trash/bag all over the street. It was almost impressive how much this man did not care about his job

it's so cool how you know all about me because i point out that hopes and dreams don't create change. it's not like i have a 10 year posting history in this sub detailing my many battles with city hall and the city council or anything...

let's make a deal. I'll continue to point out stupid unworkable ideas and you can continue to propose fantasies that are tailored for other cities. will that work for you?

More time for animals to get in them… Also for them to blow over. I don’t think putting them out the night before has any bearing on the bins themselves. I understand that it’s a pain to get up early, but it really does screw over neighbors. Often the yellow trash goes out as well, which can attract the raccoons and animals.

You can get the city to down a tree on your property if it’s close enough to the sidewalk

Watch for limber houses in the summer and keep a dollar bill on ya.

The city is so small there’s never a reason to search for parking at an event. Street parking is free in lots of neighborhoods. Park your car a little closer then call an Uber.

Every Friday there’s a church on Illinois st that has free food for anyone who needs it.

There’s a ton of small hikeable areas in most neighborhoods. Take a walk.

City buses are free right now
