I mean, it's a big shopping plaza that has, historically, not been kind to anything but chain restaurants. On top of that the building would have to be extensively renovated or torn down by anyone who's interested because pretty much the only restaurant you could put in that spot as-is would be another 50s themed diner. Most people looking to open a restaurant don't have that kind of scratch, so it was either shitty chain or vacant building, not a lot of room in between.

Landlord of 8 years, I've never paid for my apartments to be listed on Zillow, or are you talking about buying ads/sponsoring them?

Facebook Marketplace, Zillow, Padmapper, Hotpads, Apartments .Com, and the MLS are where my apartments go. I've never had an issue finding qualified tenants from those and haven't paid a dime to list on any of them.

Craigslist's been dead for years, even pre-covid people were barely using it because of all the scams.

Yeah I’d definitely like to see something new there, but I think we’re a little saturated with burger & breakfast places right now.
