Maybe. If there's good pizza in Mass I didn't find it and I fucking tried. Antonio's was the closest to good in worcester. There were times the slices were decent but it wasn't consistent and was never great. Some real hate is going to flow in for this but I'll say it anyway. The best pizza in Worcester would be the worst pizza in New Haven County.

Right now I got Wooden Bar at the top of my power rankings, but Dead Horse is probably pound for pound the best in the city.

Chashu, Birch Tree, and Volturno all hit that really good but nice and casual sweet spot.

Vincent's and Coney are unironically excellent at what they do and always a good time.

Yea that's true, pretty certain most of the city is in the northeastern sea plain (for Massachusetts) Climate while I believe the areas above 800' elevation are in the southern worcester plateau climate. I feel like the terrains between 400-750 feet used to get significantly more snow than they have recently.

Overall favorite is tough since there are so many that excel at different things.

If you're not in the mood for anything specific, the tasting menu at Deadhorse Hill has always been good if you don't mind letting the chef decide.

If you'd rather choose what you're ordering but want a variety of options, Joey's and Peppercorns are consistently good.

Italian: Mar E Monti

Sushi: Sushi Miyazawa

Breakfast: Lou Roc's

Mexican: El Patron, it was the place on park Ave but they closed after a plumbing issue.

Pizza: no good pizza in worcester IMO

Brunch: Armsby Abby

Not sure what to call it but honorable mention: Egg Roll Lady

edit: people are upset about the pizza comment. I just don't like greek pizza. Its not for me. If I had to get pizza in Worcester, I'd go to Wonder Bar.

I used to think of Holden as very conservative, but that's not really true. I mean, it's true compared to Worcester, but that's not saying a lot. Worcester is definitely a liberal place, but I would not call it the most progressive place, necessarily. Worcester has a strong "do as we've been doing" attitude.

But, a drive out through the wilds that are Western Massachusetts taught me that Central Mass. is another land.
