I think the raven is 18+ on certain show nights but aside from that, you’re right the scene has dwindled as of late. DIY in worcester was really strong in the early 2000s but it’s not the same anymore

I know it's not what you asked but growing up I was super surprised to find the public library had amazing manga/comic collections and that formed the basis of what I was into. Definitely recommend checking out those collections too especially if they have it in YA and adult, you can help curate what she's reading in the adult section, I bet most of it would be teen appropriate (I forget how WPL graphic novel section organized it).

I haven't lived in Worcester in decades but still have a soft spot for it, it made me who I am. I'm an old main south kid. One of the things that startled me about entering the "golden years" is the way people, places and things disappear like they never existed. The Spag's legend is all that's left and in another generation it too will disappear. Still the Spag's unique retail blueprint should be archived in the annals of enterprise.

Is this a rant? Some of the big brass in Worcester are italian and they dont care about anyone but themselves, really.

Look at the far-right lunatics in city hall, they fall under the banner of "Colorio"

The police union is stewerded by Sgt. Anthony Petrone, an abusive landlord and columbus fanboy.

He also made sure to post very far right insanity in the now-defunct IBPO local 504 FB page.

There is very little difference between lauded members of the Italian community here in Worcester and the Proud Boys community nationally.

Basically they parrot eachother.

Anime Zakka is a trip but easy enough to get to on the train. Get off the train at Back Bay or Lansdowne and walk over. If you get off at Lansdowne you could also go check out Comicopia, there’s a pretty good manga and indie comic selection there.

I've never heard anyone give Linders a bad review regarding their car sales. Seriously. I'm almost 50 years old so there is some real history behind my comment. They won't be the cheapest. Solid used cars aren't cheap of course.

Don't use the guy my realtor recommended. He missed the fact that the boiler was about to blow a hole in the burner. Three months after the sale I smell gas in the basement. Flames licking out of the bottom. One heart attack, one emergency shutoff and $7,000 later I had a new boiler.
