They’ve been going out business and having a sale since before the dinosaurs.

From the information garnered here and elsewhere it looks like:

1. Rotmans is not a major employer, espeicially for the amount of real estate it occupies.

2. They have incredibly high mark-ups and constantly use gimmicky and dishonest sales tactics to rip off customers.

3. Even if this is yet ANOTHER marketing ploy to drum up sales or restock inventory, it seems they should close anyways and make some room for honest business owners.

Irish pub? Hopefully it will show GAA/League of Ireland matches.

Just moved to the city a year ago. Are they constantly going out of business or is it for real for real this time? Grew up near a store on the north shore that my father and I were certain was a mob front because it was going out of business from grade school until I was in college.

I didn’t know about the remodel, that fact really amplifies my concerns. Now I’m triple glad I didn’t buy!
