Thanks! It just felt like the most logical extension of the prompt at the time for me, and a really unexpected twist. "You don't get it, that prompt yesterday? It happened. And now, someone has to deal with the consequences"

Her eyes then saw the light rays move on the ground, and her eyes followed it towards a door of some kind. The purple rays moving around the door. She gasps out as she held up the end of the key closing one eye, and looking at the tree in the middle then at the door. It was the same. Well sort of. The door was part of a huge tree that was in the end of the room. A bright purple color admitted from it. She held the key down as she steps closer towards the huge tree, and the door. Her hand gripped the handle trying to open it, but it was locked.

"What...no!" She yelled as she kept on trying to open the door, but nothing. "How...wait." She then looks at the key in her hand, and places it in the keyhole.

She tried to turn it, but to no success. She then looks at the desk as she walks over tilting her head as she looks at the drawers, and open them. Just when she was about to give up her head went towards the middle drawer again. Opening it she then takes a pen that was in a cup, as she lowers it down, and opens the secret compartment.

"Yes!" She happily said opening the secret compartments.

Her eyes stared at the keys as she looks at them happily. Each one was different. Different sizes, different colors, and different shapes. Some of them had rectangles, some had ovals, and some had squares. Taking one in her hand she examined it. Twirling it around her hand. In the middle of the oval was some thorns, and what seemed like roses. A rose garden?
"

This one!" She excitedly said

She then ran over to the door, placing the key in, and it turns with a click. She then opens it. Warm sunlight hit her as she opens the door. Her eyes now staring at the beautiful Rose garden, and she jumps in place happily. Going in she looked around the Rose garden. Roses as the eye could see. Some fairies came wondering by, their glimmer moving towards her, and she followed them. Wondering where they were going to take her.

Her feet pattering on the grass she then follows them to a stream with a bridge, as she runs on the bridge, she stopped and looked down at the water.

"This place is amazing! I wonder why mom and dad didn't want me here." She said twirling around on the bridge.

The fairies went around Ashley as she looks at them.

"Would you like to play with me?" She asked them happily.

The fairies bounced as they giggled, and ran away again.

"Hey! Wait!" She said loudly as she ran towards them.

But as she went further down the pathway the pathway was staring to be all crumbled, and dusty. Like it hasn't been kept up for a while. But she was too busy following the fairies to notice, as she almost tripped on a lose stone. Losing her shoe she gasps out hoping on one foot to get it before looking down at the ground.

"What...?" She whispered as she looks down. "What happened to the pretty..." She heard a crash of thunder, and she looked up.

The sky was a deep red as she looked at it with horror as rain now started pattering down, but it wasn't normal rain. It splashed on her face as she wipes her nose, but found it to be blood. Her face turned white as snow as she the blood rain came harder covering her in blood as she screamed out, and tried to run towards a tree to get out of the rain. As she approached the tree she quickly placed her back towards the tree, and skid down it. Her whole body was now covered in blood as she grips her hair.

"What is going on?!" She yelled out.

As she looks at the blood rain, and then quickly looks down the road. If she can make it towards the door she was home free. She gathered all her courage, took a deep breath, and got up. She then started running in the blood rain, her shoes stepping in the blood puddles, and her breath became shaky. The world around her turning to nothing, but blood. Trying so hard to get to the door she finally saw the door. Running towards it she ran towards the door, and out into the main area. Quickly slamming it shut, and falls backwards. Panting she looked down at her dress, and her hair. Seeing the blood she quickly tried to brush it off.

"This is why we don't want you in here." A voice rang behind her.

She gasped looking up as she saw her mom, and dad. Her dad had black slick hair, glasses, and was waring a brown shirt and pants he also had a slight beard. The mother had a brown dress on, pants, and dark shoes. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she also wore glasses.

"What...was that?" Ashley said in a shaky voice.

"It's best that we finally explain it to you." Her dad said looking at her "But let's get you cleaned up."

<Horror>

It was a raining day more gloomy then anything as the rain pattered on the window, as Ashley spent the day wondering what to do. This was a huge house. But she was alone she always has been alone, and looking at the empty rooms that was in this house she always got sadden . Her mother, and father didn't have any other kids. So here she was all alone in this huge house. Sometimes she takes the lampshade off the lamp, and pretend that the shadow was another kid. She decided to step into the living room. Today she was waring a black, and red pocket-dot dress, and her black hair was tied in a red ribbon with black knee high socks and black shoes. The room was quite big with a huge piano in the middle, a huge fireplace with knickknacks on it including; a vulture skull, a rabbit skull, and a horse skull. There family was a big on taxidermy, but it always freaked her out. Seeing the skulls always made her grossed out. There was two big chairs by the fireplace, and a huge bear rug. She didn't like stepping on the bear rug.

"Why does mom, and dad do this stuff? Aren't they...grossed out by it?" She wondered to herself out loud as she looks at the skulls.

She then walks over, and gets on top of the huge chair as she was quite small being on the age of 10. Waving her legs over the edge she looks at the fireplace, before flopping on the chair now looking up the ceiling.

"I'm bored! What should I do?!" Ashley cried out to the ceiling as she then blinks for a moment.

She then got up and got off the chair, looking around she then decided to walk towards the piano, and ran her finger along the wood following the grain. She walks away from the piano, and followed towards the end of the room passing a huge mirror where she stared at herself. Her blue, and brown eyes staring back at her. Mother told her she had Heterochromia. Which means two eyes that were different colors.

"I wish I had normal eyes." She muttered as she walks away. "All the kids make fun of it." Saying that she then walks towards the archway leading out of the living room, and towards the hallway to the kitchen.

But she stopped; looking at the door to her right. A huge door that read "Private Study." she always wondered what was going on there, but she was never allowed in there? Why? She always wondered. Though she knew mom, and dad always kept the key in their room. One day she snuck in, and found the key on accident. Though she knew that they probably hid it somewhere else. But it did make her giggle over how furious they got, but she told herself she wouldn't do it...but she was bored. So she nodded her head in agreement of her own thought, and ran down the hallway past the kitchen, and ran up the stairs. When she got to their door she took a deep breath ,and out. Taking the knob she turns it, and the door opened with a little creak as she stepped in. Her head poked in as she looks around the room. Eyes peering into the room. Their room was quite big too as of all the rooms, and contained; a big bed, dresser, two desks, maps all scattered around, and a traveling trunk at the edge of the bed. They were out today usually on their rounds to look for more dead things. Perfect. She quietly went in, and closed the door.

"Alright if I was a key where would I be?" She asked placing her hands on her hips as she confidently looked around the room. "Hmm might try the traveling trunk?" She asked herself as she walks towards it.

But opening the trunk she saw different clothing items as she starts digging around, and nothing. So she decided on the dresser opening the button drawer, then the middle closing the middle she then steps on the button dresser drawer, and looks at the top one.

"Aha! Found you!" She excitedly said as she grabs it, but after she grabbed it she felt the dresser tip over and she quickly got off.

Closing the top dresser she held the key that had a tree with seemed like the limbs making a circle as she examines the key, and held it tightly. She went towards the door, opening it, and closing it behind her. Running down the hall she finally was going to find out what was behind that door. Going down the stairs she then ran past the living room, and stopped at the door. Placing the key in the keyhole she turns it with a click sound, and slowly opened the door. A burst of wind came towards her face moving her hair. She just pocked her head in and saw nothing but darkness as she gulps, and opens the door all the way.

"Woah..." She said holding her hands together as she looks down the stairs.

She then looks at the hallway, then at the key, nodding her head she couldn't back down now. Her hands gripped the key, and took it out. Moving forwards she pressed her hand against the wall, and went down the stairs. Her feet clacking on the stairs as she tried to embrace herself. Finally she reached the last step, and she stepped off. Squinting to find a light or something she presses her hand against the wall finding a light switch she clicks it on, but the light didn't come on. Strange. She then looks around the room. Moving her hand against the darkness until she felt the roughness of a desk which she then uses both hands to move around the desk. She finally found something hard, something...strange that she was now touching. Tapping it a light emitted from it which made Ashely jump, and gasp out of the sudden light. The three what seemed like crystals emitted a purple light as they hovered in the air. Stepping back the light got brighter as the light rays sprung up, and hit the chandler in the middle. Causing the whole room to admit a deep purple color. She looked at the chandler that was now shining.

"What the..." She whispered watching what was going on.

[EU] HARRY POTTER

Diary of [minister of magic 2026],

Day 318

The Canadian Magical Government Authority reached out recently regarding our ability to handle a 'cascade Veil/Mist failure scenario.' Paranoid as always, why should we worry about that? Still, they have made significant progress in the workings of complex spells, so I'll tolerate their useless efforts for now. At least it doesn't affect us.

Took the entire day, too, I was supposed to go to shopping at four!

Day 319

The CMGA clarified by stating that such an event is in progress and that we needed to activate our contingencies. I told them to go away, we know they'll share their progress anyway. No need for disturbances like that. Their representative freaked and left immediately.

I had a great tea meeting with Mithra, so that was good.

Day 320

Romania went under, got busted by Muggle authorities. 'special operations soldiers,' whatever that means. So the CMGA wasn't wrong, but I still don't know what 'cascade' means. They said that they were about to reveal themselves to Muggle governments. Go ahead, not like it affects us. God, why have they suddenly become the topic of the past few days?

In other news, I signed a new bylaw preventing people from wearing their cloaks inside out a weddings. Ridiculous that I had to do that to stop Cratus from doing it, but whatever.

Day 321

HOLY F*CK I KNOW WHAT CASCADE MEANS!!! HOLY FREAKING SH*T!!!

Day 321-2

So, a Muggle military team broke into the Office and arrested everyone there. People who didn't comply got hit by these things called 'guns,' basically injury wands. I have no idea how the Muggles discovered magic like that, it didn't show up on our radars. I managed to apparate away before they crammed me into one of their prison cars, but apparently they are aware of mages across the globe now.

Day 322

I called the Ministry Of Magic to war, only to find similar 'raids' had occurred across the country. Their cars are fast and silent, running on 'electricity;' They have flycraft! And so, so much more. The CMGA was right.

Speaking of, the CMGA got away scott-free, and was simply put under watch by the Canadian government. Their paranoia paid off, though given the number of long-held secrets and other elements of society falling apart, I suspect they knew this was going to happen. I wish I payed attention to their speeches.

Day 323

Our location was raided last night. We all ran, most of our number were captured. Around fourteen million wizards have been arrested, and another one million killed after they attempted to retaliate against soldiers.

The Muggles now have 'Portable Reality Anchors,' which essentially prevents magic in a certain location. This is getting worse and worse.

Day 324

There is nowhere left to hide, I have been running for ages now.

Day 324-2

Got caught. Well, turned myself in. I'm too tired to see straight, just wanted to write this down before going in....

Day 326

Was put in a muggle medical center for my injuries, I had sprained my ankle, apparently I had stage three cancer as well? Whatever that means, they have a treatment plan for it. Muggle society is so weird.

Besides that, Muggle prisons are stone cells with windows. Good to know, bad to find out the hard way. I got to keep my journal and a couple other things, but my want got confiscated.

Day 327

A muggle prison for wizards as a good place to drive everyone insane. We were each shown a 'video' on Muggle society. Apparently, it was a primer designed for 'aliens,' whatever those are, 'in case they found them,' but these guys have just as many contingencies as the CMGA! No wonder they intergrated their governments. Apparently, it saved 'Canada' a whole lot of paperwork as well, at least that much I understand.

In other news, we got reports that the Orks and Fey had teamed up against the Muggles. It did not go well. For our side. Those guns are more effective than wands!

Day 328

Radiation treatment for my cancer today, they had some other fancy word for it but I forget it. I don't understand a word the doctors said, and apparently even muggles struggle to get a grasp as well. Either way, I feel horrible, but they say rather feel horrible than feel dead. I suspect that the 'cancer' is fake, but it's not like I have a choice.

The CMGA is trying to scramble enough wizards to become lawyers faster enough to begin sorting through muggle court backlog regarding us magic folk from lack of representatives. The muggles won't let their own lawyers represent us because the societal differences are too large. So here I stay.

Day 329

The last of Fey resistance got crushed. Muggles have also taken Hogsmeade permanently after enough trouble there, they just built a military base next to the town.

I'm bored. Mithra isn't here to entertain me, why did this have to happen.

Day 331

Got my CMGA layer today, apparently my case takes less precedence than sorting out the Ministry's, of which I led. Makes sense. So, we, and every other magical government except the CMGA were charged with:

  • Tax fraud over [highest penalty]
  • Tax evasion
  • Failure to pay taxes [highest penalty]
  • Fraud
  • Identity fraud
  • Theft
  • Identity theft
  • Murder (come on, Voldemort, really?)

The list goes on. I swear, I hate lawyers. At least in the Ministry I didn't have to deal with that kind of thing!

Day 332

No defense, just plead guilty. Well. I saw that coming from ages away anyway. We're going to appeal to the murder, torture, crimes against humanity sapients (they renamed it), and the worst ones, but anything paperwork, time, or material related is done for.

Well. I doubt Harry Potter is going to help us get out of this one.

Goddammit, why did this go like this?

The others always question what goes on in my head. But to be fair, the more they try to understand humans, the more they don’t.

So while Kristin and I have fun over some Jaeger, the others tended to their usual studies or duties. Time passes and we both head to our dorms to crash when the ship lands on the planet we were supposed to explore. The label we had for it was… was… D? 41? Yeah, D-42.

So as I pulled Krist into the prep room, I had grabbed the kit to test whether the atmosphere was safe enough for our suits or our biology. As that was analyzing, I sat on the bench with Krist on my lap blanked away.

Trying to not hurl, I had decided to peak at the camera system we had set outside the ship to see the surrounding area. Seeing nothing but a field of greenery and a pond of blue, one could’ve easily mistake this for Earth.

Ding The system finished analyzing the atmosphere, so checking the scans…96% match to Earth’s atmosphere… wat? Making sure that it wasn’t a joke, I cross checked the make up of both. Yup, outside of the CO2 difference, the place was identical to Earth.

Meaning, either we found another Earth like ours or the planet was just similar. Looking back at the cameras, I rewound them to the moment we were nearing the planet. And yet again, it was a blue and green ball. I woke Krist and told her to check out what I found. They hazily looked at the charts and was amused, looking at me with a look.

Knowing what they would like to do, I told them later. We still need to see what wildlife roamed the land. The others filed in after checking on the ship’s system. Informing them of what I learned of the planet, I advised of waiting for Krist to sober up some so we can safely traverse the land.

Moments passed as we continued our preparations, and by we I mean the others that had to prepare their suits to protect themselves from the environment. The star in this planetary system worked like our Sol, outside of being stronger. However, that also means that the atmosphere of this planet was also stronger.

When Krist finally was able to function, we departed. One team set up camp to analyze the soil, water, and biomass by the ship; while the other picks a direction and explore for any intelligent life. I was part of the exploration team and Krist was on the research team.

Traversing the land over hills and rivers, the land seemed close to that of plains. I wouldn’t be surprised if we-, mid thought we crossed over a hill and found ourselves some buffaloes. The heard had grazed the area being roughly the size of moose. If the wildlife was this big, I wondered how the apex predators would be. Lying low, I had the team double back to report the finding. I had them do this, because I also say encampments. If this was similar to Earth, they must be a tribe that follows the bison. So they would be aggressive to any that would cause harm to them or the wildlife.

And I was caught… yup. My carefulness was my undoing. Now being tied up to a pole, they had talked amongst themselves, likely about what to do with me. Looking to be 7” and above, they seemed to work with women being respected while men were treated like pets. While the men provided the strength and women provided wisdom. Looking about, there were always the exceptions among them.

With the elders seemingly curious about who I was, they had me let go to show them why I was there. Seeming to understand bodily languages, I had buzzed my brain to how I can tell them without them mistaking any of it. Seeing my frustration, they had then held onto my arm and kindly shook their heads. The elder had then handed me my bald back, wondering how I could’ve gotten such an item. I looked around to see a clean set of bones and asked them for permission, of which they obliged, and sharpened it to mimic my blade. They were in awe at its sharpness and durability. I taught them the basics of how I had done so, and let them grow on their own.

In a sudden, a group of animals of the big cats family had entered the place. The guards then had used their newly made tools, to some effect while others were quick on picking up how to efficiently wield them. Looking around, the elder chief had pushed me forward and yelled at me. Reluctantly, I had charged forward to aid those that needed the help.

Meanwhile

Looking at Sam socializing with the natives, I had held back on rescuing him. Because of his carefulness, he had only focused on his front not realizing the return group on his six. But with his wits, he was able to safely incorporate himself with them. The others were absolutely baffled at how Sam could pull such a thing off with limited communications, but that’s just the thing with humans, and I guess our galactic twin, we don’t need words to properly socialize. Just the vibe of one another and an understanding of how one side works.
