YTA, my dude. Traditions are something entirely different than altering one’s biology. This is an incredibly personal, permanent decision on her part. This isn’t like substituting cottage cheese for ricotta in lasagne, this is a whole PROCESS. No one should have to change their body at their partner’s request. I remember my late spouse forcing The Change on me; nothing I regret more than staying in that relationship.
And given that you mentioned she JUST found out, I’m seeing a totally uncool pattern of miscommunication here. You two need to open things up. Talk about expectations, culture, feelings, etc. Give her lots of time to make a measured decision. Don’t make her be your Bella. And maybe she didn’t really grasp that she’d be spending an eternity with you. You could want different things out of life.
No tradition is worth someone’s bodily autonomy. And maybe I’m assuming that this relationship has sane and consensual foundations, but if you can’t respect her decision, maybe you’re better off leaving the wedding canceled.

A bit more information is that Will Blank is more superheroy, and Wizard for hire is more action/adventure, with a mystery through most of the book I won’t spoil. (They are both trilogies if I remember right, Wizard for hire by Obert Skye, don’t remember the author of Will Blank)

NTA. Humans are incrediblely rock-headed and disrespectful when it comes to the traditions of other races. They barely repsect their own traditions.
Us Niodiku from the land these cretans have dubbed "West Africa" would not tolerate this disrespect even from the Pharoahs and Emperors. Tis why the darker ones outside of their homeland know next to nothing of the great warlords, kings, queens, and civilizations they spawn from. Their rulers believed they were better than us. They know nothing of wisdom or patience. I spent the first 400 years of my life shunned and in exile simply because my father (Bleh) was human. Humans would have called that "Unfair" or "Spiteful" but I believe it made me stronger, a better lady, and burned his moronic qualities from me.
I would also like to mention "West Africa" isn't even the what the humans living here call it. It's Nigeria, even then, many Igbo live here. It was never Nigeria or Africa until the Romans and Greeks caught wind of it. Yet they left the task of exploration to the barbarians up north. It's as if they expected to live forever and dominate the world, I can barely recall their names now. Their legacy are books and tele series, and tele games that just exgaggerate their role in the world, and they were not as sophisitcated as today's humans hoped. They'd be ashamed to know the Europa they pillaged and briganded now controls the lands they thought myth and legend. Pathetic.
I'm rambling again, sorry. The same applies to your fiance, whom I hope won't be your last. She may not even live to the 22nd century if she refuses your gracious offer of immortality. She thinks she is important, she thinks you will make exceptions for her alone, but I will remember to find you in about 500 years to ask you about the love you shared. You will have forgotten her.

Reply to [WP] You've spent years on your thesis paper. Today you sit down, hand it to your professor and smirk. "The science of magic?" he asks, looking at you incredulously. In response, you summon a fireball in your hand. by TerrWolf
The fireball shoots through the ceiling of his office and into the sky. I smile as it now seems if I have a spotlight over my head from the sun shining through. My smile disappears as a large piece of ceiling falls on my head and leaves me with a large bump.
Still it is nice to see the dumb look on my professor's face. His mouth half-open like an idiot. I think about reminding him to swallow, but I don't and a big glob of drool drops down onto his shoe. I start to wonder what I am going to do next. When I was planning this entrance, this is about as far as I got. Shooting a fireball. Hindsight being 20-20, I guess I should have thought about what my next move would be.
"Professor, would you agree that I... brought the heat?"
Goddamn, why didn't I plan ahead. I should have researched time travel magic instead so that I could wipe that dumb line from existence. I guess it doesn't matter too much. He still looks like he needs someone to press his on button, dumbfounded by my stupendous fireball.
I now realize that I have been sitting hear thinking for a few minutes now while he is dumbfounded. Should I say something else or keep waiting for him to speak? I feel like I should say something else to break the awkward silence, but I fucked up my first line so bad, that I am scared to. But I look at him and realize that he is not going to be the one to speak, so I guess I will just have to wing it.
"Professor, don't worry, I understand that you are a little dumbfounded right now. Don't worry, I know I brought the fire."
Damn, why was I even worried? I nailed it this time.
Finally, he seems to be awakened from his trance and looks at me. "This was very impressive Ronald, but I'm afraid that I am still going to have to fail you."
Outraged, I ask why.
"Because this is an art history class. Sorry, but you are going to have to retake the class next semester."
I shoot a second fireball.

You took it all away from me, you know.
All I had ever wanted was to live among humans. The goddess life was never for me, though perhaps that is my personal bias. Even before I met you, I dreamed of nothing but escaping the cage that Okais trapped me in. I could see nothing but the black and inky void surrounding it, but I could hear the humans.
I listened to their voices as they tampered with what were once relics and gifts I bestowed to my followers, objects of eldritch power that they could not fully understand. My relics, which once gave me my powers, were now in the unworthy hands of the children of Okais.
But you… You gave me hope. You gathered all of my relics and summoned me. Your tongue whispered my very name, a name not used for eons! And just like that, the bars of my prison melted away into the void, and I was placed into the world of humans. I shapeshifted myself into a humanoid form, and I got a taste of freedom- a new life, not as a god, but as a human.
And then you betrayed me. It had only been months, and I had just gotten used to my new life and identity. I paid to you my debts for freeing me with service. I did so much for you! So tell me, Ken, why you outed me? “That is Panilies!” you screamed to the town, “The very being of blinding light and evil!” How could you, how dare you! I never asked to be the goddess of light! I never asked to be rescued by you!
So, you turned me into a laughing stock. Many didn’t believe you, but those who did turned their backs on me… Except for a select few. They are not laughing. No, no! They are worshipping me. They stole the sacred relics back from you, and we are now in the process of rewriting what was once my holy texts.
Bit by bit, we are rebuilding what I once had. And when the new moon sets, Panilies will be a name remembered and feared again.
I will once more rival the shadow father Okais.

Luck control!
In other words, the most absolute bullshit broken power in Mutants & Masterminds (supers-themed pen-and-paper tabletop game) if you know how to build it. A friend of mine who absolutely loves the system had built the most broken Minion Master sort who summoned a bunch of super-weak minions (in the form of a murder of crows) that each had Luck Control 1; on its own not super-potent but when enemies are forced to reroll successes and allies allowed to reroll failures en masse, it gets positively silly.

Oh that also fits well! Could be. Karma, fate, destiny, luck. In the end they are all similar yet different, separated by a fine line. Which is why I find it so interesting. The guy could be a manifestation of all those concepts into one to form one insanely awesome power. ohh, I like that thought. I should try writing a story on this and see where it leads me. hehe

NTA
Honestly, your fiancé sounds like a piece of work. I am not a vampire but I did grow up in a Japanese household and my parents made sure that I was raised with Japanese culture and customs in mind. They ingrained in me the importance of my heritage and that it important for the world to accept not only our culture, but cultures of all countries around the world.
Now I know that Japanese culture and vampiric culture has many differences. For example, we like sushi and you guys like sleeping during the day. But we are similar in the sense that we should be respected for our beliefs.
My fiance hates sushi. But he eats it every day to show his devotion to me. He is happy to gag on the raw fish that he hates to respect my culture. And I am happy to keep feeding it to him and watch him gag. He asked me to watch the World Cup with him because it is important to him and I told him to fuck off as I shoved another piece of salmon in his mouth to shut him up. It honestly is the healthiest relationship I have ever been in and I am so happy that I married him.
If your fiancé will not do this for you; will not let you bite her on the neck, will not let you pierce her skin so blood drips down and she screams in pain, will not let you change her entire lifestyle as a show of devotion to you, then you should leave her ass by the curb.
