Heck the SW waterfront in DC is closer to Gravelly Point than Old Town!

I’d recommend Crystal City, especially if there’s a farmers market at that plaza next to the path which connects to Mt Vernon Trail / Gravelly Point.

There isn’t really anything next to Gravelly Point. My favorite coffee shops in Arlington are Northside Social in Clarendon and Origin in Pentagon City (which is closer to your destination). Getting to Gravelly Point from the north isn’t going to be the easiest, you’ll end up routed right by DCA most likely.

“Old Town” as in Old Town Alexandria? how would that be the “closest place”, if Gravelly Point is next to Reagan..? Crystal City’s right there and there’s free parking in the garages on the weekends

Actually if you just want coffee there is a place just south of the airport - in the old restaurant area on the right at the marina.

Nothing right there. I’ll put in a plug for Mah Ze Dahr bakery & coffee in Crystal City. Should be some hourly street parking around, and it’s excellent stuff.

Closest place would be Old Town, depending on your route from MD to Gravelly point. Its off the parkway so there isnt anything right next to it.

Renovations. There was a sign up earlier this week. They’ll be open October 11, I think. (But I may have that date wrong)

Yea. I thought about the unionizing situation too. Since you mentioned water main leak, and I failed to mention this into my original post, I did notice one of those long rectangular dumpsters sitting out back very close to the back door.

Still? Ugh no. Maybe it’s a union thing? Or a water main leak?
