All of the answers that I am finding with a quick google search are saying north repels north south repels south and opposite attracts. I know that. But what is the distinguishing factor that makes one side called north and the other side called south. Do magnet manufacturers just decide to call one side north and the other south? This could make company a magnets the opposite of company b magnets
