Insulin is chiefly removed by receptor-mediated endocytosis and proteolysis (the receptor organizes a vesicle being pinched off from the cell membrane with the insulin inside, and then the contents of the vesicle can be digested).
Insulin acts by binding to the insulin receptor on the outside of cells, so it isn't otherwise "used up" when it acts. Since a homeostatic signal isn't much good if you can't turn it down/off again, that breakdown mechanism is important.

If you're talking about individual water molecules, they should be moving at very high speeds (average speed should be around 500 m/s at 20C) while breaking and reforming H bonds with other water molecules. However they do stay in their relative position when water freezes.

Convection can be faster over longer distances, if convection is present.

Might simply be an error in the print or result from oversimplification. Happens even with the most reviewed books and manuscripts.

This image from my textbook is what confused me. I assume they said they just said neomycin was added for the sake of simplicity?
