A wave is a succession of 3 points in water: a point lower than the resting level of the water, a point higher than this, and again a point lower before returning to the resting level.

What does highest point mean?

So, can we see photons as the "highest point" of a wave travelling across the EM field? Or does the wave analogy stop being relevant at this point?

The central vagina (used for birth) does not open into the pouch, Typically the mother licks a path from the vagina to the pouch and the new-born crawls along it, into the pouch and latches on to a teat.

I learned that coyotes kill cats, often. I found this a little surprising given how quick and alert cats seem to be.
Is there something in particular that gives them advantages over cats?

So they have 3? Evolution is definitely inventive.

Hum, I don't know the US law, but in my country the same kind of law is applyable.

Keeping it short? Viruses reproduce by inserting DNA into our cells' nuclei (Even the RNA viruses - there's just extra steps).
Several viruses have a dormant stage, where they infect a cell, but don't produce new viral particles unless triggered - usually by stress of the host. Herpes simplex is a good example, which is why cold sores come back.
Once a viral gene is in a stem cell, it's up for reuse and adaptation via evolution, just like any other gene.

A changing magnetic field induces an electric field. This is why moving a magnet through a coil of wire induces causes an electric current to flow in e.g. a bicycle dynamo.
Similarly, a changing electric field induces a magnetic field.
An electromagnetic wave propagates because a change in electric field causes the magnetic field to change, which causes the electric field to change, etc. in a self-sustaining wave travelling at the speed of light.

You may have already found this website, but in case you haven't, here it is! I learned quite a lot from it. It seems like the cloaca is the "one hole for everything" including breeding, even in kangaroos.

This is a long shot. But one day i am hopping to work in Africa with big cats reguarding to conservation and research. Do you know any options i could apply to (just want to get my foot in the door).
I am currently studying wildlife science in Australia and am stuck on where to go.
P.s. Thank you for doung this AMA!!

Whoa. How do we adapt virus genes into our DNA? I’m so intrigued
