All my experience with cats convinces me that they are much more sensitive to "ghosts" than humans.

By which I mean, I don't think ghosts are literally real, but that there are explicable phenomena that give people spooky impressions that make them think haunting is happening - and cats are much more sensitive and reactive to whatever those are.

I did that once with a kitten.

It then rubbed its head and body against my hand while purring. So I scratched its back gently.

And then it started biting my hand hard. When I pulled my hand away, it went after my ankle to bite it. :(

Cue me running away from the kitten in panic while it chased me.

UPDATE: he recovered, drank a lot of water, and ate a lot of suet and peanut butter. He had a lot more energy this morning and was released, he flew off fine.
