I like the split speed bumps that allow bikes to go through easier, but anything that slows cars down to a safe speed is good.

everyone in portland just drives through the gaps on those though, which makes for odd traffic patterns.

that particular one isn't correct. the gaps should not be spaced at typical tire width.

I’d even want the split bigger. Speed bumps suck on motorcycles, but the tires can be fatter than those.

I think motorcycles also drive dangerously in the city. though I guess it would be quieter if they just rode smoothly instead of slowing and accelerating.

The vast majority of motorcycle riders ride as carefully as possible. It’s the vast majority because the ones that don’t ride carefully die.
