It was afternoon IIRC. Everyone went to work and then the rain turned to ice and snow at like 2 or 3 and then things descended into thunderdome. I almost got hit by a fishtailing tow truck.

Ugh, I’m definitely not looking forward to tomorrow. I work home health and drive around all day but I’m definitely not going to risk my life if it’s dangerous.

Ok just saw… thaaaat kind of looks like fun! My only question- I kind of walk, run, walk, run as I have asthma and probably don’t have that type of endurance for super serious runs. What is your group running style?

Do you drive to the promenade? The downtown promenade is about 25 min walk from me..

No chance for remote work for me, but I agree that rush hour in the rain, especially night rain is a very “when someone crashes into me, not if” situation.

Maryland rush hour in rain is very much risking your life to drive to and from work. Snow they will hopefully shut you down or let you work remote.

Wait, y'all want snow? We're about to enter one of the biggest traveling days of the year and MD drivers are horrible on a sunny summer day. Hell yeah I am happy it is not snowing, I'm trying not to get murdered on the highway to my parents house.

Common practice is for most residents to team up and shovel it together in my experience
You'll always have 1 or 2 assholes who refuse to help, though.

Exactly. And honestly there are several young men in Baltimore who wear ski masks and don’t commit major crimes. I didn’t want to profile or accuse anyone without evidence.
Now that all of this has come to light in the news and happening frequently, I would report suspicious behavior and been more aware. And I would probably be taken more seriously. I honestly was in so much denial at the time because I wasn’t sure what the intention was.
