Give her 3 options and let her choose:

-Something traditional (bar, coffee, etc)

-Something quirky/fun (thrifting, arcade, museum)

-Something lowkey (park date, dinner at home)

> Other counties have already put federal funds to use. In March, Anne Arundel County’s housing commission used a portion of its federal COVID-19 relief funds to purchase a 16-unit apartment building that currently is 100% occupied, according to Clifton Martin, CEO of the county’s housing commission.

So we are aiming for the end of 2024.

The city wouldn't have jackwagons like me punching them when they're down, and we always seem to be down, if there were a modicum of competency.

>Eileen Cotton, who was formerly homeless and now serves on the Lived Experience Advisory Committee, convened by the Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services, expressed frustration at the slow rollout of hotel beds. The city, she said, will come up with plans but “they don’t follow through with it, so it’s just a wait and see,” said Cotton.

Giving everyone who wants it a cot, a sleeping bag, and setting them up in city hall would be far more effective and maybe even get the Scott administration to do something that isn't wrapped in 47 layers good intentions but producing poor outcomes.

They look dry, but I am also on a hill, so who knows whether it is an ice rink at the bottom.

It's so tempting to just run an errand. But... Didn't do it. Going to just enjoy the fact that my power isn't out.

For now.

That’s because Lee’s Pint and shell did theirs without permits and they were illegal. I know this because I was with the two women from the city who issue/approve the parklets looking at O’Donnell square. When I mentioned the one at Lees and said it was posing a problem for the busses who use that route, they said they didn’t apply for a parklet and immediately walked up to check it out. Eventually they were forced to take it down.

Guess maybe no employees were gonna come in, they were acting like the whole city was going to be frozen over last night.

The tent was legitimately a little scary to where we basically tried to get through some mulled wines as quickly as possible and bought like 2 things and left even though we were originally planning to spend a few hours.

I think you'll be fine. We meet at 6 at R House on Mondays. There is a parking lot across the street that's free. Usually don't get started until 6:30 so there is some social time beforehand. Feel free to DM me if you decide to go. I'll give you my name and I'm happy to run at your pace for a few weeks. Only caveat is that I may not be around 12/26 or 1/2.

It's funny you think this is a flex.

Real estate is a supply vs demand business. The difference is a city with a much higher standard of living, we had IIRC about 35 homicides this year, as opposed to Baltimore's 325. We don't live in a city full of traffic cameras and shitty services that vaporize when you need them. Baltimore isn't even a top-rate second-tier city any more, and hasn't been for forty years. Happenings in San Jose and it's people are in the news most days, you guys make the news when the citizens are burning down your city as a result of some of the worst governance and policing in any city in the US.

Serious question: Have you ever been anywhere else? Because you sounds like the prideful dude who is hurr durr Baltimore the best! (Shoutout to Brooklyn Park, lol)

You can still love a place and not be blinded the the reality of what it is. Also, maybe have a look at the glass house you're standing in while holding that rock, because you just sound like a dummy.

In other words - You get what you pay for, son.

Thanks for the heads up. Also the B&O railroad museum is closed today due to “inclement weather.” I found out the hard way. I get the tent might close but the B&O is in an actual building 🤷🏻‍♂️

Guess we’ll just stay at home the rest of the day and go stir crazy.
