You can definitely have frozen pipes with heat and power, they are totally unrelated. My hot water pipe upstairs is currently frozen and everything else is fine. (I let the cold faucet drip to avoid freezing but didn’t think to drop the hot faucet as well 🤦🏼‍♀️)

If you need injections sooner, I'd recommend Dr. Lim out from Advanced Pain Management out in Lutherville.

She's a Hopkins trained anesthesiologist, who did a speciality in Pain Management, and getting on her calendar isn't a nightmare like the other offices around here.

She did a nerve block on me that took me from a 7\10 pain down to 1 in minutes.

I definitely agree with the other suggestions to live in Baltimore and have your partner commute to DC. But if you want to live in the DC side of things, look into College Park and Laurel, you can take the Camden line into Baltimore during weekdays and you can get into DC easily via metro or bus.

I love Patisserie Poupon for pastries and sweeter breads! They have my favorite croissant in the whole city. With just the right amount of flakey exterior and buttery, layered interior, but you don't lose out on the bread flavor coming through. I also highly recommend their fruit tarts, cookies, walnut or raisin danish, or any of the savory danish with cheese!

I pick up goods from their location on N Charles St, Cafe Poupon, but their main pastries are baked on the Baltimore Street location and brought over, fresh, each day! (website is closed for the holiday 12/24/22 - 12/25/2022, but the Baltimore Street location is OPEN today until 5PM!)

My good friends that grew up surrounded by bakeries in NYC love Ovenbird Bakery. They have lots of gorgeous bread displayed. I've only tried their muffins (heavenly), cookies (wonderful), and danish (divine), though!

Pitango Bakery & Cafe in Fell's Point has GREAT focaccia if you can't make your own this busy and chilly season!

How do we get ready for planned rolling outages? I have a generator, blankets, warm clothes. I have two neighbor families at my house now because their electricity is out, they also have blankets and warm clothes. What else can we do to be prepared. It’s a little concerning he said to be prepared for planned outages but didn’t share tips.

Brian Newman, he's out of Hopkins. He did my L4-L5 (sponylolythesis). Hopkins proved to be worth its reputation of being a great hospital.

Edit: he made sure we exhausted all other options before considering surgery - the other two I consulted with wanted to cut me before I even finished describing my symptoms. The only bad thing is that he's a Steeler's fan.
