I agree there should have been more communication - BGE did a heroic job getting most people restored pretty quickly and I know they couldn’t get out of area crews like they normally would. But we are still out and it would have been nice to know it would take this long- they were in our neighborhood Saturday and kept giving us times and then pushing them back. We stayed in the house that night and it was horrible. We’ve left, but still no real communication on when to expect it fixed. And the city/state should have been more proactive about getting people to emergency shelters- we are healthy, have high end sleeping bags and a fireplace- and somewhere to go when it is became clear it would be another night.

This is not a police thing. This is the National Suicide Hotline shortened access number, the FCC put this out after Congress passed the 988 bill, or the National Suicide Hotline bill. A volunteer from my area helped gather signatures to get the bill passed.

I hope people don’t get confused that this has something to do with police. It’s nice the police promoted it, perhaps it would be better if the news stations promote the number without police involvement. Many people worry the police aren’t the best people to respond if someone is experiencing thoughts of self harm, police can make the matter worse instead of better.

If you need help call the number, please don’t think this is a police number, it isn’t. This is the National Suicide Hotline, no police will come if you call.

It is often part of the Baltimore Restaurant week. That is when I go.

If you like LOTS of meat and a good variety is a nice time. There are many veggies and additional non meat items to go along with it. I have noticed that some of the same characters you might see in Walmart will also be there.

Too many have lost the ability to be classy when out in public.
