With all due respect, be grateful that your children were in your house getting woken up to the amber alert and not the reason an amber alert is being sent out.

I didn’t mention anything about credit, I clarified this is not related to police at all. I don’t know why the department needed to label the announcement as from them instead of asking the news stations to share the hotline number as a public service during the holiday season. The way the promotion is worded mentions police, Baltimore County police and the department enough to discourage some people from using the service. The description is confusing enough that it could be read as counselors from the police department. The entire purpose of the federal bill was to make the National hotline more accessible, not scare people away by associating it with police.

Even the title of the article “Baltimore County Police gives life saving info” is misleading. It is from the local Fox station, not unbiased.

Go if you have never been. It's a great experience. The salad bar is massive. They have a great wine selection. The meat is delicious. My personal favorite is the "house special" which is a top round steak I believe.

Make sure you take a bit of fried plantain between each portion of meat to cleanse your palette. You will be able to taste the small differences between the cuts of meat on your plate.

Easy to over eat. Make sure to flip your coaster to red once you get enough on your plate.

Very enjoyable experience.

PS: The Caipirinha are delicious!

We used to go for work all the time. They have a fantastic salad bar and a variety of simply prepared yet delicious meats. I always enjoyed the food but the first few times I overate and regretted it. So now I grab a normal sized salad to start and try to imagine the shape of a 12oz steak and stop eating after I think I’ve had about that much. After a few successful runs with that plan it is definitely one of my favorite places for work outing.

All that being said it’s definitely a better experience for bros or family than a date.

Seems also like an opportunity for phone manufacturers to improve. The default option should not be a loud notification in the middle of the night. If a phone hasn’t moved in a certain amount of time and it’s between like 10pm and 6am, have it delivered silently and then have it take up a full screen when the phone is finally unlocked. There’s zero value in waking people up to look for a car but people already out and about could get notified in real time. And when people start to wake up they can be notified first thing.
